Great video, giving me confidence to order a kit to tackle my first re foam. Now where can I find the tool you use to connect the speaker to the phone please
Not specific , just white glue like any other used for foam 😉. I ordered it from ss Audio Website: www.simplyspeakers.com/speaker-repair-adhesive-mi-1291.html
I have same speaker, highs Sound atenuated, what capacitor you recomend to increase highs ? My crossover is all original components, Best regards from Ecuador
since the coil is centered mainly by the spider that is already fixed the method is guaranteed, I have been using this method for several years without problem. in addition if you remove the dust cap and stick it afterwards, it gives the impression that the speaker voice coil may have been changed or repaired, which is not good for selling it afterwards
I have to say I completely disagree with that method because moving the cone like that while the voice call is in motion can actually scrape the insulation off of the windings up against the pole piece.

That minimal amount of scraping will have no effect on the speakers on going performance. It is in fact much better not to remove the dustcover and let the spider do most of the work. If the spider can’t hold position of the cone then the speaker is a dud and going to fail prematurely anyway. I would say that soaking the glue with ISO for a few hours prior could save unduly handling of the cone and speed up the cleaning process.

You'll need just a jack to rca cable, soldering iron and apps, for more details look at this video : th-cam.com/video/tDASKOTfW-Q/w-d-xo.html

Hi, to improve your crossover replace caps >10uf by Mundorf Ecap plain , and any film capacitors for caps
@@homemade_audio thanks Sir, will try that
How do I know if the foam goes on top or behind the cone?
simply the rest of the old suspension responds to you 😉
⚡🔈🔈⚡👏👏👍
Thank you 👍👍👍
I personally would have removed the dust cap and put some kind of shim in there to keep the voice coil aligned
