  • Lord Howe Island is an island located 780km east of Sydney in the Tasman Sea. It’s recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and most of the island is virtually untouched forest with many of the plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. Hiking up to Kim’s Lookout is challenging but worth the effort as it has amazing views of the whole island. From Settlement beach allow yourself 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the the top. You can then walk onto Old Gulch through the rainforest for another 30 minutes and have a swim before making your way back. Be mindful that the walk back to Settlement Beach from Old Gulch is challenging.
