Maybe you would get less smoke if you turned the temperature down from 500. I just brought mine today and thank you for your review it was indeed helpful
I had purchased this product yesterday from Costco and also tried grilling some hamburgers as you did exactly as directed per the instructions, and I had allot of smoke billowing out from the lid, I also tried it with the lid open and that made no difference. Frankly it gave me the same results as grilling on my stove top, as far as smoke goes. Unfortunately I purchased this product because it was a great price ($59), for a "Smokeless" option to grilling in the house, which has turned out to be a false claim and I also suspect it's why it dropped it's price from $90 to $60. For some people who are willing to sit in their garage and grill or go outside to grill it completely defeats the purpose of grilling indoors without filling your home with smoke. As far as some of the other features with the griddle, dehydrator and air fryer, it may be enough to be useful and suit some people who don't care about grilling indoors. Thank you Chris for submitting this video review, hopefully more people will see this before buying it and know it's limitations.
I’m assuming it’s the amount of grease that’s dripping from the burgers that makes it very difficult for the unit to keep up with the volume of smoke. I’ve seen people grilling steaks on it and it looks like there is little to no smoke.
I like mine but cant stand tge clean up after grilling lol. I dont have a dish washer so its a in the air product for me . Might return mine for a regular air fryer
The grill still smokes at lower temperatures. The manufacturer advertised and claimed, "cooking without smoke." This claim was advertised without any mention of temperatures. It's a bogus claim.
For the burgers just go in the garage and leave your door open Seriously if that's your only complaint. I just bought one. Haven't used it yet but yeah
Thanks for posting, very helpful! How difficult/easy is cleaning?

Seems like a good idea however, the manufacturer claimed, "cooking without smoke." That claim in untrue.
Nice Video, very informative.
Do you know if the griddle and all the trays that come with it? Are they nonstick Teflon, forever chemical trays?

Yes, I have tried multiple times, thinking it might be technique but it still smokes when grilling burgers. Thanks for the reply.

I just bought one but I'm not sure if the pans are Teflon yet. I'm looking for comments about it.

Is it the grease dripping on the element causing the smoke?
The grease is definitely burning but very little grease reaches the burners. They're shielded with the grilling grate.
Wew the fan on the machine? It has a fan on and off
Yes it has a built-in fan that redirects the smoke.
It is a smoke less grill not smokeless. Which means that it smokes less than a typical grill.
You're so funny 😁! The paperwork and all advertisements from the manufacturer claim, "cooking without smoke." It's an untrue claim.
Try grilling burgers on medium not high. Then update us.
I will certainly try that.

My fan is broken
