Rev'd Solomon Aisa Ige: Celebrating the Longest Serving Pastor In Africa
Reverend Chief Solomon Aisa Ige, though the longest serving pastor in Nigerian church history and all of Africa, had his contribution to socio-cultural, religious, economic, political, and educational life of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́, Baptist Mission and Nigeria as a whole.
He lived from 1890 (precise date unknown) to August 16, 1982.
Rev'd S.A. Ige served as Ijeru Baptist Church, Ogbomoso for 59 years, and he was crowned the Òṣì to Ṣọ̀ún of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ in 1960.
