after some bullshit with LDWF I am really considering one of these. Couple of questions. How long have you had it? I don't wanna drop a grand for something that feels flimsy/isn't going to last at least 5 years. Why didn't you use the transducer well under the boat? I saw on another video there is pretty big spot to mount one. What is the advantage to your setup? I have never used a live scope so maybe it is obvious. Others have complained about water getting in the hull. Have you had any problems? Thanks!
@@matthewharr6372 I have had it for 4 years now and love it. I have the live scope so to be able to use it properly I added the pole to it so I can move the transducer. If it was under it would hit the bottom and I wouldn't be able to point in different directions. I had a little water come in to the hull hatch under the seat but I sealed it and haven't had any issues since. It's a good kayak it's just heavy but manageable
wow the battery is crazy expensive, although I did spend $950 on my trolling motor, 50 Minnkota powerdrive with remote - I still prefer the peddle due to features of M.o.m. saves so much battery and the fishing I do its perfect.
I don't believe so. I have a box for if just never really used it. I should use it more then I do, I just been lazy cause I would need to extend the wires 3 or 4 inches.
I like how you did the garmin mounted on the cover

Do they male a swivel seat for this? A boat that big I'd want to work the back as well
@@garysexton344 they don't but people do make their own for it.

What is it that you have holding the top of your makeshift transducer mount? The part you locked down.
@@boeford6919 it's a ram mount. It has a pipe strap that clamps it down
I would love to have this one but it’s HUGE
Yeah, she's a big heavy one for sure. A trailer will be coming soon.

Do you have to have covers for your batteries that attach to the boat?..it's been ten years since I looked at the regulations BTW.

How do you transport it? That is to say how do you get it from the shop then to the truck then to the lake then into t he water?
I have a bed extender for my Tacoma. It gives me an extra 2 feet off the tailgate. I have a 6.5 foot bed so it helps with the 13 foot of the kayak
I back up to the launch and pull it out. It is heavy so I don't take it to places where I would have to walk it far.
What is the total weight with you in it? Looks heavy.
@@bluethunder1951 kayak probably 300 and with me att another 270
