It bothers me that native plants are promoted for wildlife habitat but yet aren’t available in nurseries and stores in plant sections. If the goal is to promote natives in the garden then make them generally available to the public. This is a monopoly practice of having to go to native plant sales or speciality nurseries to buy these plants. Plus having to be a member to have first access to native plants sales for the first hour of the sale. Let’s stop these practices .
Recently, it is believed that the population of this plant dropped- to number in the hundreds. A rare and valuable plant to grow, indeed.
