This 2-second jingle plays whenever the character being played loses a life (by falling through a bottomless pit, being impaled by spikes, not keeping up with the self-scrolling screen, killed by enemies, or simply having the time run out). It is usually heard in the classic-style (some might call it "linear") Castlevania games where players beat the game by finishing a stage and defeating the boss at the end, mostly "pre-Symphony of the Night". In fact, it is not really present in any of the Metroidvania nor the 3-D games (except for Judgment and possibly Harmony of Dissonance). Though it only last for a few seconds, it is pretty catchy and hard to forget (in my opinion).
NOTE: Not all the versions are included. Whenever a find a good number of tracks, I'll make an updated video that includes all the version in this video and the newer/missing ones.
THESE TRACKS DO NOT BELONG TO ME.

*After losing 90-100 of times at Castlevania 3*
AVGN: This fucker's got no mercy!
Dracula X and Castlevania III in a nutshell
Dracula X actually has the most bull crap Dracula fight in the series (probably). The fact that you can't hit him on half the spots he randomly spawns and the instant death from falling if you get knocked in the wrong way once is so infuriating. Never beat it for these reasons.
(also getting up to it is really annoying as well)
Super Castlevania IV wins by a landslide. They turned an innocent enough death theme into evil torture chamber music!
Stage 8 = hell
Nah that's a bit overblown I think. Just seems sadder.
As terrible as Judgement is I'd pick its theme. It's more elaborate and gothic.
0:51 RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE. NEVER GIVE UP.
THAT'S ALTERED BEAST!!!!😂
It was also used in Tyrannicon everytime he dies and rises back up.
WHATEVERRRRRRRR

0:55 WHAT IS THIS MONSTROSITY!!?
The amount of times I raged and said Damnit when this jingle played is too numerous to count. Yet here I am, still playing the games. I'm more resilient than I thought.
"Nothing can't stop me! Not even this little-" *Gets hit by spider* "Urgh!" *Tossed to a pit*
*Plays Player Miss theme... Actually all of them!*
i love that video
What is the video they referenced please answer
@@BluePhoenix559 it's called Castlevania In Brief
Castlevania IV’s is so good, it’s definitely my favorite
CV IV was my first Castelvania ever, so nostalgia plays a part here, but it is really iconic, like mission passed jingle from GTA Vice City.
This death sound is also remixed for a Game Over jingle in Konami’s Daisu KISS.
All that's missing is Castlevania: The Adventure and Bloodlines.
And symphony of the night
@@crazisaturn2274 yeah, but SotN only has the game over theme, instead of a player miss theme
@@gerardorivasdelgado2473"Game... Over. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha"
I like the one from Super Castlevania IV most, because it isn't simply a theme that says "Oh gee, you lost a life!" It more so says, "Oh shit, you let Simon die..." Adventure Rebirth's life lost theme is pretty funky, too.
0:13 *SPEEDRUN FAILS INTENSIFIES*
Thanks for posting, "death" music never gets recognized.
The last one is the scariest.
Or funniest
AVGN brought me here.
Dracula X Chronicles + Judgement = Dark Souls Throthgar's Death Theme.
" FUCK YOU GAME im moving on to new areas! "

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
THE POWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. You replied 2 years later man lol
TheKrustaceox
Yeaa... sorry bout that.
but, I guess late is better than not at all...?
LOL Good to see you're alive man!
Dracula X. I've heard it too many times..... Yet it continues to be my favorite.

Tyrannicon Dark Souls Death Sound
SEE YAAAA
WHATEVERRRR
I heard the Castlevania Judgement (there IS an E in judgement lol) theme and was like "That sounds awesome! Is this some epic re-make for modern platforms?! *checks online* "Oh..... oh god--" :( deceived.
"Judgement" and "Judgment" are both correct spellings. In particular, that game is called "Castlevania Judgment," with only one "e."
I know ^^ just being the UK and having an influx of games called "Judgment" coming out at the time it was irritating me XD Me and my friends enjoyed calling it "jud-guh-munt" X) for a while
At least it's got a badass ost.
Every single one of us has listened to this soooo much
This death music is also heard in the NES version of "Batman Returns" (1993).
LOL now thats a tune that hasn't changed.. even after all these years.. Awesome ^^.
0:08 is the sound where they teleports to another location like "Star Trek". The rest of the death sounds in all "Castlevania" games where Charlie Brown fails at doing a test and gets a "F", or Charlie Brown got peed and pooped by accident.
MTN Alternate True That!
I was thinking Mega Man whenever he loses a life.
Castlevania death jingle. Castlevania death jingle never changes.
Judgment really rubs game over in your face. XD
0:37 My Favorite Castlevania Fail Sound
*insert castlevania judgement player miss theme*
TOFU!!!! WE WERE THERRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!! -tyrannicon 2017
ReBirth and Chronicles,
Good inspiration for not dying.
Funny how all of them are the same except for Castlevania 2.
For whatever reason, Simon attempts to imitate MegaMan there. XD
The new Netflix series should need to put death jingle as an intermission/ eye catch theme. Because anime.
Super Castlevania IV: "I AM THE NIGHT! And you my friend, are dead."
Castlevania: Order of Shadows: *I think I am a Nokia 3310 Ringtone*
Castlevania Judgement: *Openly mocking the player of his failure, playing the piano but not looking at it but instead at the players rotting corpse while still playing on and smiling in sheer Schadenfreude*
Castelvania Judgement is like guy who memes you to death, and then makes memes about your defeat.
omg, after watching this video, these game over themes are now stuck in my head. XD

dspprince Ok, who is here from Tyrannicon aka thorthgar
Me :D
This F***er's got no mercy!
HoD does it too in Simon Boss Rush, but I think it's just a GBA'd version of the CV1 death jingle.
I know it's too late, but I wish this included the Lords of Shadow version (which I can't find anywhere on TH-cam) since it's a ridiculously overdone orchestral version of the NES jingle (which is awesome!)
i love it, the melody doesnt really say OH FUCK IM DYING
When Belmonts still don't get buffs in Smash Ultimate...
0:31 is my favourite
The second one's got a neo geo feel to it.
0:07 - Sounds like the Mega Man death sound.
0:42 ....we got a bad ass over here
strangely, i havent heard the judgment death while i was playing it
Judgement and Rebirth's logo scares the hell outta the series!
this songs like Castlevania Judgment, I love to die.
You missed bloodlines
-Simon from Simon's Quest dies in Judgement, plays Simon's quest's game over theme after death-
I don't see how this collection is much different from my normal play of Castlevania.
for some reason i really like the sound for dracula X
These sounds haunt my nightmares. It's like the Castlevania walk of shame
True. Whenever I die in a game I hear it echoing in my mind
castlevania 2009 is the scariest of all.
WOOOAH THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT! XD
@xSayPleasex understandable, the last part is a game over theme from earlier games (in case you didnt know)
Soldier fell through the floor!
Since when were the sections labeled in the playback bar like that?
Castlevania Bloodlines: I AM A JOKE TO YOU ALL, AND ALWAYS BEEN ONE!
Yes, death jingle from Bloodlines is not too impressive, but it's not the reason to not list it.
Seriously. Its still a jingle compared to Simon's quest,'s mega man ish death sound.
Me: DIE, DEATH!
Game: Dadada-dadada-dada
Me: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
old games always love to insult players who died. it litterally sounds like trumbone gone "wah wah, wah wahhhhh"
Rondo of bloods Death sound makes me hate myself for failure the most
judgments death play thing is the most epic
Richter, Simon AND Christopher.
Judgment's is awesome because it's both the classic NES death and Simon's Quest Game Over.
even dying in castlevania is awesome
One of these is gonna be my notification sound.
Memelord Supreme I just might have to get an android now. If only I could do this on my iPhone
wow in judgement they put both game over and miss together
@MightyKombat I agree, please do so!
0:42 Death and castlevania 2 game over.BUT WAIT! THIS IS A DEATH ONLY COLLECTION!!
I know, right?
no Bloodlines?
so...many...loses. (shivers)
sounds like a trombone going "wah wah wah wah"
Strangely enough, I died in Akumajo Densetsu the most. The other games? Not so much.
BLOOD
I like CastleVania Judgement and
CastleVania Dracula X Chronicals
nes sounds the best to me
IV is where it peaked!
You're missing the "CV: The arcade" version
Ben 10 reboot Xingo's back
1 person died listening to this. lol
0:15 Sentia culero cuando me moria en el Castlevania IV y Dracula X
@shadowXchaos1 i agree
What’s at 0:11?
THE GAME IS LAUGHING AT ME!!!
"I STING YOU FACE!" Player Miss
Where does Judgement's version play?
Angry Garden Crafter At 0:42.
Late response, but I meant in the game.
Ben 10 had an episode using this jingle lmao
MIKE IS DONE
The One For Castlevania Judgement Should have been The Game over tune.
T_T Better than Sonic CD. I can tell you That.
@blackeyedp7 sounds more like a "game over" sequence than a death to me though....
Mike is done
Super Castlevania IV sounds so depressing
I prefer IV and Dracula X's Death sound over all.
huh? how come? xD
doesnt the X chronicles and slot machines sound the same?
Ba da da Ba da da Ba daaaaaaaa
Game Over Castlevania
Dracula X is the best (In my opinion)
the last one sounded like something out of mortal kombat 2
in judjment, i have da game, but cant find this piece of music
I Liked Shanoa Dying Scream in Order of Ecclesia.
