I think a decent number of people skipped Xilonen to save for the pyro archon and then had the rude awakening that pyro archon needs Xilonen to perform optimally. I’m not in that camp, but I feel for those who are.
The "needing 2 reruns thing" was a thing the developers said themselves in a previous livestream when they introduced the chronicled banner. In this 5.3 livestream they said they were gonna do away with that because people were waiting so long for shenhe and would have wanted to see her here anyway. Edit: There is also no rule that chronicle banners are regionally themed. It's only been that way thus far and assuming it's a hard rule is just an arbitrary assumption everyone has made, and even if it was a rule, they could flip it just as much as they did with Shenhe. Tartaglia being there is totally fine - he's one of the oldest characters in the game and he was introduced in Liyue and uses Liyue materials. It's fine lmao
It's so funny because Genshin moved Tartaglia away from being lumped with the Liyue characters in promos and stuff a couple years ago. But the rerun situation is so bad that they bent that rule too.
Id say c0 Mavuika is similar to c2 Raiden in terms of dps style and power. Her on field time is short due to u getting most of your power from her burst initial hit and uptime but does high damage in that short time
this is the 2nd chronicle wish, we are still waiting to find out if it saves pity, the thing that is confirmed is that it doesnt save Fate points(50/50 equivalent),
Fk all that, as a new player i am waiting furina rerun. I was planning to have pyro archon but change my mind and got neuvi instead at 160 pity. Tried having C1, lost him to jean and now furina is the best option for me. And also she's my fav character in the game too along with nahida and kazuha (God knows when he'll get his rerun)
The skirk reveal made me go from wanting to quit to actually being hyped for a character again. Pyro archon will be the strongest by a good amount but at the cost of having to get Xilonen and citlali

Mavuika feels too restrictive ngl. Quite disappointed. If I didn't have a c2 Nahida and Raiden to make teams that doesn't use Furina/Bennett/Xilo, I wouldn't dare pulling Mavuika.
this guy might not recommend you summon on the chronicle banners, but I do. If you want any of these characters and were planning on pulling on their own eventual limited banner, then this is a blessing. Not only can you get the character you want, but you could even lose your 50/50 to another limited character that you might want. This might come as a surprise, but keqing and qiqi are on literally every banner so you can feel safe having 3 of the 5 standard characters become limited characters that all are honestly better than diluc, jean and mona.

Its likely that a C1 Arle will be better than Mavuika, something ive said for a long time is that you can just summon for Arle cons when she gets powercrept and she will likely be better than whatever new pyro dps is out. I imagine Xilonen would be moved onto Mavuikas team when you get her.
