I would let each trainer select 2 moves witchout knowing what the other chose, so U may end with really weird builds, and probably randomized abilitieds for eithwe so the builds make even less sense
Maybe really bad, maybe really good idea: Do this, but in reverse. Every round you and your opponent pick a mon each from each starter selection for you BOTH to use. That will end up with the same 6 mons on both teams and it's all gonna come down to how creative each of your sets are.
Hey Patterz, I had an idea for these videos that I think would be pretty cool! You each choose 6 abilities and then you pick your Pokemon (maybe catching with a time limit instead of starters?), according to which abilities you chose. But afterwards, your opponent takes 3 of your abilities, and you take 3 of theirs. So any ability you choose, you risk giving it to your opponent. (Possibly take turns choosing abilities in the beginning so there's no double abilities, that's up to you.) Then, after swapping abilities, you each put them on whichever Pokemon you want and battle.)
The second chooser has an advantage cause they know the full team, so they can choose something that compliments their team and counter the 3 other mons the first chooser can have.
@@redox4604 problem is if the first chooser chooses all 6 that means the chooser gets 6 insanely stacked Pokémon with great builds, and the linker gets 6 Pokémon with bad move sets, abilities, and items that don't work with their Pokémon
Great video! Just a suggestion: Since the second chooser has an inherit advantage of knowing which 3 mons he already has and which 3 mons their opponent already has, the person who's the linkerr in the second go round should get some compensation I would suggest that they can choose the ability of one pair they want (even if they don't know the linked mon)
Such a great way of picking Pokemon. I feel like there's some potential for adding other layers to this concept, but you'd have to be careful not to make it convoluted
Actually insane it all came down to not using charge beam and instead going for discharge against the magearna. One charge beam boost would’ve been the deciding factor
Great video. One mistake with the movesets, Magcargo can't learn Toxic anymore, along with tons of other Pokemon that used to learn it. Really common mistake with a lot of TH-camrs that don't know that.
The concept is really good, but doesnt that mean you already know all of your pokemon and half the opponent’s? Tbh it just took alot of surprise factor. Great video btw

Nothing hits the spot more than a down-to-the-wire battle.
Don't even tempt me with a Greedent with D-Dance, EQ, Dragon Ascent, and E-Speed. That shit sounds incredible.
Battle of the meeps was EPIC, so was the whole conept of the video

I gotta say, I LOVE the art that is used for these thumbnails, shoutouts to the artist for that!
Sick idea Pat, can’t wait to see more and how you change it up in the future
The second chooser has an advantage cause they know the full team, so they can choose something that compliments their team and counter the 3 other mons the first chooser can have.
Exactly, would have been much better, albeit maybe more confusing for every part, if they alternated.
@redox4604 yeah, I get why they didnt alternate cause ots easier to screenshare do the 3 and then switch. But it does give an advantage to one person
@@redox4604 problem is if the first chooser chooses all 6 that means the chooser gets 6 insanely stacked Pokémon with great builds, and the linker gets 6 Pokémon with bad move sets, abilities, and items that don't work with their Pokémon

@redox4604 oh I see, my apologies
I love all these original ideas for picking your team!!
I like this format. I would like to see more like it. Great work as always.
This is the type of challenge that can end friendships and I love it
i love this concept, would love to see it without the shared movesets too!
Kind of an awesome vid tbh way cooler than the other soul link then we fights that people have done
I'm so happy I got to see this video!! I was at the edge of my seat toward the end! A very poetic end to have Meep and Meep face off! ❤
That's a nice and creative concept! I like how you keep inventing new stuff in a field where it could be easy to be lazy with.
I was watching this video while already playing Marvel Strike Force and i was sooo surprised when you started talking about it!
Just got gifted a membership at the stream today. Perfect timing for an amazing video.
Great video!

Crit mattered on the last hit.
Can't believe pat missed the opportunity to say 'thank you jimmy'
You're going down, Patterz!
Is what I would say if your opponent wasn't THIS guy.
You're going down, This Guy.
That was a good battle. The close battles are the best IMO. I don't even care who wins.
This is such a cool and fun concept please please please do more of these
2 people should spin a wheel and both people get the Pokémon. But each player gets to choose abilities and move sets
Oh this is such a great concept, I really wanna see this with shady and united at some point.
Great concept, great editing / graphics
Damn, that photo finish was intense
Cool concept, would like to see more. And congrats, sponsored by Marvel
Now this is a unique concept also holy shit what a hair raising close call at the end GG WP
Actually insane it all came down to not using charge beam and instead going for discharge against the magearna. One charge beam boost would’ve been the deciding factor
My brain would not be able to keep track of these links without writing them down lol
That was fun! I expected you to just pair up the mons but nope, even their move sets were the same.
That was surprising close, a fun concept
That was the closest match I've ever watched 😮😂😂
Fantastic video great battle to cap it off. Patterz always with the interesting concepts
More wacky video concepts please! This was great
Great video. One mistake with the movesets, Magcargo can't learn Toxic anymore, along with tons of other Pokemon that used to learn it. Really common mistake with a lot of TH-camrs that don't know that.
I love Decidueye being named Astarion lol
The concept is really good, but doesnt that mean you already know all of your pokemon and half the opponent’s? Tbh it just took alot of surprise factor.
Great video btw
Oh my gosh! That ending was insane! Awesome job guys! GG!
I'd love it if you randomised the movesets as well. Not with metronome, but the randomiser can change moves according to type
I thought the battle would be dumb with this concept, but it was actually super balanced and cool!!!!
This wouldve been better if you took turns for each one like always, this is definitely slanted for the 2nd chooser since half the team is known full well.
The strat would have been to match typings to have similar pokemon so they had stab on their sets
Ooo really cool and interesting concept! Double linking!
A soullink with you two would be nice
This battle was the most intente battle that I have seen in any of this tricky battles
that was such a close battle allso the speedy ice table was fun
PatAway+ Soul Link coming soon??? 👀
This is definitely a neat one. would not mind more of it!
Love this concept pat ❤❤❤
Rly cool concept I think you should do different moves for next time
That battle was so close.
this was a GOOD battle guys
I wonder what if discharge had missed, kinda hoped the tention would increase
Cool ruleset, potential for all kinds of craziness!
Love it, lets see more. Great vid, thanks guys.
great concept though maybe just have the moves transfer over, of the stats areoved too makes it so hard to follow
If he charge beams to finish your Maggie he could’ve won 😭
This is a cool concept hope we see more
Wow, that's gotta be the closest of these random starter battles I've ever seen. Great video idea, looking forward to seeing more of it in the future.
Really cool premise for the video love to see it again
This is my favorite soul link battle ever, thank you, my king.
I love the soul link video I wonder when I are you going to do the epilogue also why you not playing Palworld ?
Love the shared moveset thing
Patterz this concept is what we in the television industry call… “jumping the shark” still very entertaining regardless.
If he used charge bean to finish of magearna then he probably would have won

Facts 🗿
Great vid, great concept, do this more plz
Ft. Rich heck yeah here we go!
Unironically a good battle
That was a close match! Gripping Tbh
idk how to feel abt the matching movesets
Much prefer the positional lock and trying to sell the spaces to your opponent
This doesn’t feel like the linker can really do much, you’re looking for a mon that can do its set better than the mon the set was built for? That’s just.. the linker will always be on the back foot with those mons
Even if it’s a weird battle, the unique part of the video doesn’t have enough informational play to be doing anything
It's good concept but I would say don't link the moves and abilities so there is more variety
this should have flipped back and forth every choice.
HAIL TO THE MEEP!!
I ACTUALLY REALLY LOVE THIS
What a great ending!
This is confusing, i don't know what's going on but for some reason I'm all for it
Im confused didnt patterz pick magearna? Sorry if i spelt that wrong. Why does he have avalug?
got a bergmite earlier from when he was a linker that turned into avalugg
I am running into here to say that I patted my Subnoodle for shiny luck and I immediately found a shiny Pyroar.
Subnoodle stays winning.
I asw that crit at the end
nice concept but i think they shouldn't have the same movesets
🔥 ending
RAMPARDOS SPOILER SHIELD 🛡️🦖
Thats why ampharos is my favorite electric type fuck yea the gen 2 goat
This concept is ffffffffire!!!
If riad what for charge beam instead of discharge he would have won
My husband and I agree that Patterrz is the cutest poketuber
i have just one question, why green screen into your own room 😭
I think he normally has a portal around the green screen person but this is to funny
Is it me or during turn 1 Paterrz made a major mistake ? By linking sudowoodo with Phione, it wasn't ideal because Phione is a SP attacker meaning sudowoodo will get a special attacker's moveset.
Sudowoodo's Sp.Atq and Speed are 30. ☠️
Of course that means Phione no U-turn/Flip turn/Tera Blast to make Sudowoodo a sitting duck.

There's so many gimmicks here
Very coo l idea , but don’t think move sets need to be shared
This is a very cool idea.
This is an awesome idea!!
