Feride, who lost her mother at a young age, is brought to Istanbul by her father, a soldier, to live with her grandmother. When her grandmother dies, Feride’s father enrolls her in Notre Dame de Sion French Boarding School, for her to receive a good education. Here, she is nicknamed "Çalıkuşu" because of her mischievous behavior and refusing to get down from the tree in the school garden. She spends her summer vacations with her aunts. Soon after, she also loses her father, and becomes and orphan.
Feride grows up to be a very beautiful young girl. Ever since she was little, she have had secret feelings for her aunt's son Kâmran, who is a few years older than her.

Yes, as a Muslim you are allowed to Marry 4 times, but with the conditions. So first and foremost condition is; If you are capable of treating all 4 wives equally that is financially and emotionally equal treatment and also very important only with the permission of other wives. if for any reason you are not going to be able to carry the obligation then you are not permitted to get married the other women. also Islam is the first religion which allows women to get divorce if they want, and there is no cap on women how many times she wants to get married. But just like any other religion people tries to change the laws for their conveniences.
