    You are right, I agree. Many of the regional county infantry/yeomanry regiments go way back and have amazing histories. I agree 100%

    @TakehikoKun when I was in Sangin we killed 200 insurgents in 2 months.. losing 3 british soldiers k.i.a. the population were secure and the town started to rebuild.. about a year ago, to relieve pressure so the british army could concentrate on operations against the Taliban's money bed in Nar-e-saraj (which I also took part in) Sangin was handed over to the US marines.. one month later 34 of them were dead, the yanks were besieged in their patrol bases and the town is in chaos to this day

    Most people would'nt get into a British airborne unit. The fitness requirements are pretty crazy. They are often the first in and have a long and proud regimental history. All corps and regiments are good in their own way.

    there are so many contradicting views of each others soldiers from America and England, but none of these comments come from the soldiers themselves but from people who don't have a true understanding of what is going on, we are all brothers and sisters when it comes to war

  • @Bereit18
    @Bereit18 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why oh why do people feel the need to get personal and trade insults as a result of watching what is a VERY GOOD VIDEO! Please please people, calm down and get some perspective!

    So they're just green eyed monsters then?
    Its still a few years more, but i'm interested in joining.
    Household Cavalry or Foot Guards which is better? (as in role and what they do, not really interested about being elite or not) I'm torn between the two.

    @TakehikoKun and what's funny is that high ranking US officers are interviewed for news reports and documentaries, in which they proclaim their awesome success since the take over, and criticize British officers for being 'unimaginative'. lunacy. the British are masters at inovating and adapting to changing situations. a skill learned from centuries of international warfare. British troops are led from the bottom up and are the first to throw away the rulebook.. that's why we're the best.

    They always come home,one way or another.That is what they fight for,everything they love about home.God bless lads,for now and going all the way back to when the different tribes of Britain got together and kicked the Romans out.An old saying from donkeys years ago now."I was born an Englishman,but by the grace of god i was raised to be British".Long live the Union!!!

    @random11414 haha fair enough m8 sorry. yeah i can tell the difference between the uniforms aswell, you don't need to be an expert of some sort for that. I was just irritated by the famas, and at a quick glance their uniforms looked french. Didn't even notice the shoulder patches... Guess I was too quick with wanting to rant about frenchies.

    I haven't discussed any subject you haven't brought up YOURSELF. It was you who boasted of your janitorial services @ the Home Office, then it was you who brought up tabloids. Someone in a more administrative (that is non-custodial) position would know that tabloids aren't the social phenomenon here. Most papers here are regional & are dying. Such topics simply aren't discussed in such papers. As I said, I saw transcripts of the emails to London. Those don't go in trash cans.

    funny that the US led coalition in Afghanistan would give the job of securing the only part of the country that could be considered a warzone to British forces if they don't think we're any good.. funny that

    I totally agree but sometimes people do need to be "put straight". Is'nt that a mark of respect? Otherwise our brave people have died for nothing! Please dont think I'm being argumentative as I'm not, I hope you understand my point.

    I get my fairy tale from the Obamanation himself. I am talking about messages sent by him to the British gov't. I saw them in the news reports. They are a matter or public record. A gov't is fairly big thing. Many people, not all them are always on the same page. I am more likely to credit a sourced news report then some guy on TH-cam claiming to be something. Whether or not you work in some capacity in the Home Office I don't know. Even if you do, for all I know it involves mop & bucket.

  • @1935rmb

    Your soldiers went kissy-kissy with Iraqi terrorists and stood down at Basra refusing to engage and fight. And you judge Americans! What cheek. When others have to fight your battles in your sector because of deals with the devil then your reputation isn't worth a pitcher of warm spit.
