Gen 9 turned out to be one of my fav gens and I think these new legendaries they showed us are both cute and gorgeous, especially this turtle, can't wait for the DLC, nice song :)
I actually love this pokemon, it represents how teracrystallization is an elegant and delicate mechanic and I also want this to be the real theme of the battle
Idea for a boss battle against this thing. You, Arven, Nemona and Penny all got to Terapagos’s domain. Terapagos is on a giant crystal ball, glaring down at you. Its Psychic crystal starts glowing, and it starts talking to you and your friends telepathically. After some talking with the turtle, you tell it this needs to stop, and it tells you you must battle it, and the battle begins. The battle is Tera-raid like, but the timer is MUCH longer than normal. Terapagos starts as ??? type, so all attacks are neutral against it. It has the ability “Teratropy,” which allows it to change to a random type every 2-3 turns, and the hat it has changes with the type it has at the time, and Tera Blast’s type changes to match the type as well. For example, if Teratropy turns Terapagos into the Dark type, its hat turns into the Dark Type hat and Tera Blast becomes dark type. Also, Terapagos is level 90 and insanely bulky, so you know this will be a while. Once you knock it down to half HP, it gains a crown instead of a normal Tera hat, and becomes ??? type for the rest of the battle, and Tera Blast also becomes ??? type, and now, when it uses Tera Blast, it instead says “Terapagos launches an attack you can’t comprehend!” Once you defeat it, the crystal ball shatters and the game says “You finally defeated Terapagos!” Then a special cutscene plays where you catch Terapagos.
And then the students and staff of blueberry academy are evil and form a team known as Team Indigo whose goal is to harness Terapagos’ power and spread the terastallization everywhere without having breaks and bringing paradox Pokémon into the Pokémon world and even messing up their dimensions
Just thought of something. What if Terapagos just... doesn't have a type? Like, it is presumably the pokemon that causes terastallization and it has the symbols of every type on its shell. So what if it has, like, an ability that just randomly changes its type every turn?
Well if it's random it would be *impossible to control,* and that could unintentionally turn it into a joke (even if it presumably naturally learns Tera Blast so it always has STAB.) And even if that led to it being "bad," it would get banned anyway for being so dependent on RNG.
I think it's area zero's main theme. It plays in the background of AI Sada/Turo's battle, so it would make sense for it to be in Terapagos's theme, as the motif plays in areas surrounding the idea of tera crystals :]

I'd like to think that this thing can counter whatever you have. Sort of like Clivall or the rivals of the previous games. It'll Tera into a type that'll easily counter your Pokémon (such as an Ice Type when going up against a Grass / Ground Type) and it'll get randomized movesets to counter whatever Pokémon you have upfront currently. This idea would be sick and would add even more challenge to this game.

I often mock fanmade Pokémon themes for all sounding similar to each other/retro compared to the modern official OSTs, but this? This is spectacular. Unfortunately now that we know Terapagos has a pre-evolution I suspect it won't have an official battle theme per se.
I have a idea for terapagos to be like this creature that will spawn in all paradox pokemon (included future or past depending witch game) as all level 70’s, but it’s not like a single Pokémon is 5 paradox Pokémon each, you’ll send out 5 of ur Pokémon simply only directing at the enemy it’s facing. After defeating all future and past you fight miraidon and koraidon with walking wake and iron leaves (both of them together) fully level 80 and full IV with PvP attacks as when miraidon and koraidon get to half HP terapagos makes them water and psychic type as miraidon and koraidon become dragon Tera type, when all is defeated terapagos Finnaly faces you down with a type of all with a ability from arceus called omnipotent that is like protean and libero but if it wasn’t nerfed. And would have a main move called Tera cannon that would unleash all will of every type move (only 1) like imagine this (it’s gonna be a weaker version of the original) psychic fire blast population bomb all together ect and has 100% chance to poison paralyze freeze or make you grow drowsy and confuse it even stealth rocks spikes ect any effect in the game but has to recharge for 2 turns or sacrafice it’s Tera so it can’t Tera anymore and lose it’s typing to only be psychic normal (looks like a typing for that to me) as terapagos will have Tera cannon, fire blast, hydro blast, and the light that once burnt the sky (or prismatic beam) Terapagos will be level 100 and will lack speed but has fantastic defense and sp, defense with high HP and good sp, attack. When terapagos is defeat it will use all its might to spawn more paradox pokemon doing past and future Pokémon together spawning both titans (great tusk, iron treads) as greater levels and further more. Now you may be thinking. Pokémon is a child’s game or like he’s just a legendary he’s not suppose to be hard, THIS IS THE CHAOS ENTITY WHERE TALKING ABOUT THAT GAVE CRYSTAL CROWNS. And further more and the only way on defeating terapagos is using all legendaries you got (walking wake iron leaves not included) you’ll have to use ogerpon miraidon and koraidon chi-yu ting-Lu wo-chien chien-pao all together to defeat terapagos or not really just bring miraidon or koraidon but reccomended. Now terapagos is weak using all power to spawn Titan sized creatures it’s normal type (no psychic) while it’s types on its shell are fading away, it will have 3 phases losing each part of its shell, terapagos is shiny -locked because I feel bad for people doing this over and over again and the fight is over 20-30 minutes long. If you lose you go to the progress you were at. Terapagos will use new moves like every single starter move (main) in existence and further more!
My theory is it will have a gimmick like sivaly and arceus where it’s type changes based on what is holding or every turn it’s type changes because of it being the terastalize Pokémon
I really hope it doesn't just have Multitype like Arceus, but gets a more unique ability instead. Something like a mix of Protean and Kecleon's ability would be ideal in my opinion. Making it so it can't take super effective damage and always has STAB.
I think its base types will be water/fairy, but its ability will be somethung like pre nerf protean and the same but wuth defense. What I mean is that this will change its type before attacking, to always attack with stab and, at the same it will change its defense before receiving an attack, to always resist it. Also this pokemon will be able to teracrystalize without considering if other team member did it, and its tera just will work the same as I said here with the ability, but it would combine both stab amd resistance type. I also think it will be very bulky and have a high special attack stat.
yeah initially I was thinking water and fairy, but I'm also thinking it could be part rock because of how glimmora is related to tera and terapagos is very obviously the mon who's behind it, so that logic could extend to it being part rock type

What would have been cooler if like Vs Turo/Sada they had a note of Terra Raid Battle in its theme. If you had that same motif in this battle theme it would have made a lot of sense because this is the Pokemon that terrestrializing came from
I actually was planning on including the Area Zero motif in this track, but it ended up sounding either extremely rushed or sluggish. as a result I didn't want to try and force it in like that
So hear me out because if im wrong im losing something important. This pokemon is gonna be a rock/dragon type in its final form. How am i so sure? First: necrozma in his true form and eternatus in both his forms. The reasoning behind the rock type comes from glimmora, a rock/poison pokemon connected to terastalization. And terapagos tails have similarities with glimmora. Also, how so sure about the dragon type if the glimmora connection doesn't suit you? Terastalization, when you go down the area zero there are giant formations of solidified terastal energy which all evidence implies comes from this very pokemon. Same crystals that are too opaque to be just crystals (also, it wouldn't be the first pokemon with crystals being a rock type)

I often mock fanmade Pokémon themes for all sounding similar to each other/retro compared to the modern official OSTs, but this? This is spectacular.
Unfortunately now that we know Terapagos has a pre-evolution I suspect it won't have an official battle theme per se.
I have a idea for terapagos to be like this creature that will spawn in all paradox pokemon (included future or past depending witch game) as all level 70’s, but it’s not like a single Pokémon is 5 paradox Pokémon each, you’ll send out 5 of ur Pokémon simply only directing at the enemy it’s facing. After defeating all future and past you fight miraidon and koraidon with walking wake and iron leaves (both of them together) fully level 80 and full IV with PvP attacks as when miraidon and koraidon get to half HP terapagos makes them water and psychic type as miraidon and koraidon become dragon Tera type, when all is defeated terapagos Finnaly faces you down with a type of all with a ability from arceus called omnipotent that is like protean and libero but if it wasn’t nerfed. And would have a main move called Tera cannon that would unleash all will of every type move (only 1) like imagine this (it’s gonna be a weaker version of the original) psychic fire blast population bomb all together ect and has 100% chance to poison paralyze freeze or make you grow drowsy and confuse it even stealth rocks spikes ect any effect in the game but has to recharge for 2 turns or sacrafice it’s Tera so it can’t Tera anymore and lose it’s typing to only be psychic normal (looks like a typing for that to me) as terapagos will have Tera cannon, fire blast, hydro blast, and the light that once burnt the sky (or prismatic beam)
Terapagos will be level 100 and will lack speed but has fantastic defense and sp, defense with high HP and good sp, attack. When terapagos is defeat it will use all its might to spawn more paradox pokemon doing past and future Pokémon together spawning both titans (great tusk, iron treads) as greater levels and further more. Now you may be thinking. Pokémon is a child’s game or like he’s just a legendary he’s not suppose to be hard, THIS IS THE CHAOS ENTITY WHERE TALKING ABOUT THAT GAVE CRYSTAL CROWNS. And further more and the only way on defeating terapagos is using all legendaries you got (walking wake iron leaves not included) you’ll have to use ogerpon miraidon and koraidon chi-yu ting-Lu wo-chien chien-pao all together to defeat terapagos or not really just bring miraidon or koraidon but reccomended. Now terapagos is weak using all power to spawn Titan sized creatures it’s normal type (no psychic) while it’s types on its shell are fading away, it will have 3 phases losing each part of its shell, terapagos is shiny -locked because I feel bad for people doing this over and over again and the fight is over 20-30 minutes long. If you lose you go to the progress you were at. Terapagos will use new moves like every single starter move (main) in existence and further more!
My theory is it will have a gimmick like sivaly and arceus where it’s type changes based on what is holding or every turn it’s type changes because of it being the terastalize Pokémon
I really hope it doesn't just have Multitype like Arceus, but gets a more unique ability instead. Something like a mix of Protean and Kecleon's ability would be ideal in my opinion. Making it so it can't take super effective damage and always has STAB.

after finally beating terapagos.. i loved its theme there but i love this PROBABLY MORE but idk i need to think abt it

I think its base types will be water/fairy, but its ability will be somethung like pre nerf protean and the same but wuth defense. What I mean is that this will change its type before attacking, to always attack with stab and, at the same it will change its defense before receiving an attack, to always resist it. Also this pokemon will be able to teracrystalize without considering if other team member did it, and its tera just will work the same as I said here with the ability, but it would combine both stab amd resistance type. I also think it will be very bulky and have a high special attack stat.
yeah initially I was thinking water and fairy, but I'm also thinking it could be part rock because of how glimmora is related to tera and terapagos is very obviously the mon who's behind it, so that logic could extend to it being part rock type

What would have been cooler if like Vs Turo/Sada they had a note of Terra Raid Battle in its theme. If you had that same motif in this battle theme it would have made a lot of sense because this is the Pokemon that terrestrializing came from
I actually was planning on including the Area Zero motif in this track, but it ended up sounding either extremely rushed or sluggish. as a result I didn't want to try and force it in like that

So hear me out because if im wrong im losing something important.
This pokemon is gonna be a rock/dragon type in its final form. How am i so sure? First: necrozma in his true form and eternatus in both his forms.
The reasoning behind the rock type comes from glimmora, a rock/poison pokemon connected to terastalization. And terapagos tails have similarities with glimmora.
Also, how so sure about the dragon type if the glimmora connection doesn't suit you? Terastalization, when you go down the area zero there are giant formations of solidified terastal energy which all evidence implies comes from this very pokemon. Same crystals that are too opaque to be just crystals (also, it wouldn't be the first pokemon with crystals being a rock type)
