NERD ALERT:
I know descriptions are supposed to help the algorithm understand what a video is about but instead, I shall choose to discuss the second Puss in Boots film because it is eerily relevant to the topic of this video. If you do not want spoilers, watch the movie. The wolf was the embodiment of Death waiting until Puss reached his final life. Puss lived his life exactly how he wanted. Why? Because he has 9 lives. He never felt the need to even be scared of death because it was such an irrelevant topic to him. Once Puss in Boots reaches his ninth life, it is not that he is nearing old age but rather that he feels that he can no longer live however he pleases. Death is personified and chases after him, symbolizing how Puss's time is nearing and after their first duel, Puss realizes that he can't beat death. No one can beat death. No one can escape the inevitability of death. Puss becomes fearful of dying and what does he do? He proceeds to change his life for the worse, he stops living how he wants to because he is fearful that death will come. He puts up the boots, pun intended, and decides to be something he doesn't want to be a house cat. Death lets him live as a housecat, no longer chasing after him but for what purpose? Puss in Boots hated being a housecat, he would probably prefer to die than live with some grandma. The whole purpose of this personification of Death was to show how Puss in Boots overcomes his fear of death, accepting that every living creature must die. He chooses to live the rest of his life as Puss in Boots, no longer being scared of death and so death lets him live. Death could still come at him at any time but the message is that you do not need to be scared of it because death is inevitable and so why not live life exactly how you want, why not be who you are meant to be?
