I first saw Urmila as a child artist in the 1982 film Masoom when I was just 6. Cut to 1995 when I was in college and the enchanting music of Rangeela and Asha Bhonsle's voice in a new avatar caught my ears. We had a walkman in those days and played Rangeela's cassette over and over again. The movie began with this song which is a dream sequence. Urmila's character Mili dreams of becoming a glamourous star. Been 27 yrs since the film released.

@@vickyvicky2734 to be frank, back in the 90s, people did think of tech fuelled conveniences such as mobile phones and video calls which are commonplace now.
Pagers were a big thing in the 90s and anyone who carried one was considered upwardly mobile. Even a job in a paging company call centre was much sought after then. I remember being excited about my first job in the late 90s, in a company selling mobile phones and connections. Job adverts routinely advertised "computer literacy" and typing speed of 40wpm. Contrast this with now. 🙂
