You'll have to forgive me for the quality of the commentary on this one 😅I usually write out my lines ahead of time but I'm trying to get used to doing live commentary so I've still got to practice that a bit. This build was super inspiring for me though so I hope you all enjoy. ❤
Could kinda tell you were a bit off with comments on this one, but quality of the build was amazing bud. Well done for getting outside your comfort zone.
@@GenericLemons haha bro I was a wrestling manager for 15mins, so hard to come up with something on the fly for 3-4mins let alone a FULL video. It did feel natural though, wasnt bad at all.
WOW! ❤ some seriously impressive skills and creativity on display here 👏 I’m glad this community challenge helped push you out of your comfort zone, been a pleasure having you involved Lemons! Hanover Bay now has such an iconic landmark in the city and looking forward to the future of this series 🤩
Dude I would put your skills up against anyone else's and I'm damn sure we both would come out winning. You got more talent than 99% of city builder's. Keep up the awesome work.. 👍
Dang man you’re too nice! But seriously, thank you I’m glad you’re enjoying the content and good to see you still here commenting and what not. Definitely got some more stuff in the works i’m excited to show soon so I think I got a good couple of videos planned out.
@@GenericLemons I've been with you since the beginning, but I don't always comment, sorry about that because you deserve to know how much we all appreciate your talent and skills. Believe it or not but you're the main reason that I'm still playing City Skylines 2, otherwise I would have stayed playing the first game. You have most surely inspiration me to keep playing and enjoy watching you play. So again my dude I appreciate you more than you could possibly imagine and as always I be out here sharing and appreciating your videos with as many people as I can. Take care and be blessed beyond measure.. 👋😉👍
Haha, neither was I for a while. I was looking at google earth a lot looking for inspiration, and something kept pulling me back to Boston so I figured why not lol. This is going to be a pretty heavily modified version though, definitely not a 1:1 re-creation by any means.
Idea for grass roofs: Use the prop building mod for that specific building, then with a small brush, lift the terrain to just about the roof line and then detail on top of that! Not sure if it would work but came to mind
True! So far I’m pulling ahead in the community vote so i’ve got my fingers crossed! There are some really good submissions for the challenge. Lots of talented builders out there.
LOL, my microphone is super sensitive. Usually i will pre-write my lines and literally hold my breath in between takes to keep the recordings clean. But this time I just wanted to get out of my comfort zone and do a live recording with no plan. I’m definitely going to have to experiment with my microphone settings for live recordings in the future.
Okay I’ll admit, I find this kind of detailing interesting to watch.. but it’s gonna be so short lived once assets come out. The process to make this is so much more tedious than process of using procedural objects to something similar in the first game the first game, and looks worse. I can’t believe the game has been out for a year and you can’t just download user made baseball stadiums…
Oh for sure I agree. This is super limited in comparison to what you can do in a proper 3d editor making custom assets. But, its fun nonetheless to try to work with what you got for the time being.

Thanks! Yeah I think if I can just keep myself from saying 'um' so much I'll be good lol. 😂

Thank you so much! The challenge was a lot of fun, looking forward to the next one. Definitely feel like I've started this city off on the right foot.
Such great work! I knew looking at the pictures it was a lot of work and effort put in, but the video really puts it into perspective!
Thank you! Yeah it took some time, but I had a blast nonetheless.
So good. Putting in my vote now ;)
Heck yeah, every vote counts! Definitely show some love to the other contestants too, there are some really cool builds in there.
wow.. absolute genius work there
Thank you! Glad you liked it. This build was super fun.
Great video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
Great build, really liking the longer formatted video
Thanks! Good to hear. I definitely had a lot to cover in this one lol.

i was not expecting a cs2 boston build, but here i am

diamond city is amazing
Thanks I agree! 😊

Ah yeah I bet that’d work perfectly if i finessed it just right. Good idea!
looks like Sully highlighted your build 😎

It's here🎉 (first)
Woo! Hey Poplar thanks for watching!

Will you make a metro system and buses?
I think that's definitely in the plans for sure. This city is going to get pretty big so I bet we'll need it soon.
How did you get that elevation line between Line mode and Snapping?
I'm not sure tbh. Perhaps its a MoveIt feature?
