Good job boys coming up with a way to get a nice video out despite a big technical setback, the audio.
I've had an equally punishing fall off the back of a Cannondale supersix ten years ago. It was very painful, as I landed straight on my cocycx. I was off work for a bit, had to get scans which showed some semi nasty stuff as I'm not young. Overall it was very unpleasant and took about 2 years to recover from. Back injuries are highly ill advised. Avoid them, if at all possible. You only get one spine. When it's fucked, that's it.

Lived in Dartmouth Park when I was a nipper very near the bottom of swains lane. Used to ride my MTB up it on a regular basis to get to West Heath to ride some trails. Funny seeing it again.
Plus when I was really little my parents made us walk up it so they could go to the pub at the top. Left outside with a bottle of Coke and a packet of crisps…! 😂

The cheeseburger thing is definitely an Alison Jackson "thing" since last year at least. She got handed one halfway up the Tourmalet in the 2023 Tour De France Femmes and this year she put out a social media call to get one handed to her up the Alpe d'Huez. Evidently @MyLouTube was more than happy to oblige!
I can only imagine that Lou's thinking was to be wearing bright pink (same as EF's kit) so Alison would spot her?

This van rysel is sick. Even though the one Jimmi was riding was RCR (not pro). Trust me, I've got one. You can even see there is no Pro in the logo on the top tube ;) the bike is epic regardless ;)
I've already cycled my Hase Pino semi-recumbent electric assist tandem bike up Swains Lane - I did it the same day the two of you were there 😉
I reckon one of those ridiculous Moser pre-lugano charter hour-record track bikes with the smaller front-wheel would be perfect to tackle such a steep climb, just need to change the gearing by a few teeth, and we're all set. (Ok, maybe over a dozen, alright.)

Definite concussion. 😕 When you fell off the bike I bet your jaw was slack & our teeth crashed together. (My decades of playing & coaching hockey taught me that mouthguards are for pretecting your brain, not your teeth.)
I'm hoping we get bike checks/weight check of the bikes from the hill climb.
Full downhill bike is the worst thing I've ridden uphill, would be brutal in a race.
