The lions POV!
My name is Nicola Chan, and this video was made by me to show my perspective of myself when inside a lion. Thanks to Liverpool Hung Gar Kung Fu, I have the privilege to be involved with Chinese New Year 2023 in Liverpool. No one was involved with the making of this video.
My book IMperfect is about a girl who has low self-esteem and body image issues, and she enjoys Lion dancing because when she is inside the Lion, no one can see her or judge her body.
There is a moment in the book when she sees another Lion dancing and thinks they are amazing only to lift the head and realise that it was her own reflection all along.
She is amazing.
