Have you visited Barefoot Landing? Do you think it will be revived with this reconstruction?
Mr Myrtle loved this! Might be coming down for vacation this summer from wv. Just curious what is the standard of living like down there? Been wanting to live there for sometime. Thank you for wonderful vid!
Some of the lowest taxes and very high standard. just depends on what you buy and where.
I am not sure how to answer that question. If you are referring to average cost of living then that is really subjective based on the cost of living where you are currently living, your occupation, your living situation, expectations, etc. Most people that live here think cost of living is high because the jobs down here really don't pay a lot, just something to consider. Last time I was there was October 2013 great video it's looking good I've been to the LuLu,s in Orange Beach Alabama it's a great restaurant I think you'll like it

They are obviously very used to people and make themselves right at home there. I don't blame them. That would be a nice spot to live if I was a squirrel.

I remember before this was commercialized. It was the Village of the Barefoot Trader. A few little quaint cottage shops around the edge of the water. Very natural area back then.

You are welcome! Broadway at the Beach is on the south side, this is in North Myrtle, a little further up Hwy 17. It is about 11 miles in distance away from the two spots but depending on time of day and traffic the driving time could be anywhere from 20 minutes (minimum) to maybe even 45 if a really busy summer day. Wow! You really do read our request. Thanks for sharing. We love Barefoot and always stay just across 17 in the Windy Hill section. I am really confused though. I was hoping to see the new Blueberry Grill in your vlog as we plan to give it a try in July. I follow the Grill on FB so I am pretty sure they are already open. I don't think it is the new construction. Hum...someone needs to solve the mystery.

I hope Barefoot maintains its rustic/park-like vibe. I enjoy that. Broadway has more of an urban vibe. Speaking of the alligators, years ago I went to Dick's Last Resort, right next to Barefoot. I was on their deck after dinner looking at the water and I saw a gator lurking below. I thought it was one of those Disney-esque mechanical gators. ha ha Nope!! It was the real deal.

Heroes and Villains had a store at Carolina Place Mall in Pineville NC but closed up to focus on the one there at Barefoot

BC has given stores at Broadway a steep discount to also have a store at barefoot, trying to make barefoot back to what it used to be. It's cool to see them trying to expand for the better of myrtle!
We never got to try barefoot landing but would love to so thats something to think about for our next trip
barefoot was always the go to when Broadway was crowed or rainy days.
I had not been in a long while but with all the updates it is looking nice.

Back when CDs was a thing there was a music shop that sold bootleg concerts for like $30. Now all of them are on TH-cam for free.
I was wrong. That is Blueberry Grill under construction. I just watched a construction video on their FB page and it is right there by the Christmas shop. I have been getting FB updates from the Blueberry Grill in Myrtle thinking it was the North Myrtle location.
Yes, the Blueberry Grill in Myrtle is right off of 82nd Parkway by Publix. I have seen it many times but have not tried it. I may have to check it out one day!
Barefoot landing the original Broadway at the beach! to me it also fits in better with the Lowcountry of South Carolina than Broadway. personal opinion but, in Myrtle if you are not growing you are dying.

Not sure if anyone remembers,but when I vacationed w my mom in the early 80's,there was a big novelty gift shop called Barefoot Traders. Is this the same location it used to be?
Barefoot Landing was originally called Barefoot Traders so, yes.

stitch16261 This isn’t my page but I can help you out! House of Blues is indeed at Barefoot Landing. Bass Pro is about a mile south on Route 17 - part of the Myrtle Beach Mall.
Yes, House of Blues is here at Barefoot Landing. Bass Pro Shop is at Myrtle Beach Mall. I have a little video on an overview of Myrtle Beach Mall that will be posting in a few days!
Over where Maggie moos ice cream shop is there we’re a few squirrels that would go in a store and the people would feed them lol pretty cool. A good place for a bbq is stillhouse bbq. We were told about it last year and went and loved it. It’s on our go back to this year. We have yet to find a pizza place we like there. We usually get a late night pizza if we eat early one night but haven’t found one that thrills us lol.. I always visit the Christmas mouse.. Both of them lol we always visit Ron Johns for a shirt lol Question?? Is that TBonz gone?
It is currently closed. I believe the franchise is developing a new concept restaurant to fit more in the theming of the new Barefoot Landing, a mexican cantina?

No mention about T-Bones being replaced by a Mexican Cantina and not being sure whats new constuction or not etc. It's called doing your homework.
It’s called: this is not my job. I’m a random dude with a camera. I was in the area and people asked to see the construction. It is not my job to report or know all the details and if you watch my videos I don’t ever claim to be an expert. There is a more recent update where I show the cantina...

would love to see the parks..... I only know of two- South Strand and one off of Enterprise.... do you know of any others? They seem hidden lol
I am not sure I know what kind of parks you are asking about. Recreational parks?
yes Mr. Myrtle, recreational parks.... where folks can go sit on a bench, picnic, walk a trail (not so much in the woods), a recreational type park.- thank you
Myrtle Beach State Park, The Park at Market Common, Huntington State Park, Conway Riverwalk, North Myrtle Beach Sports Park, Chapin Memorial Park are first ones that come to mind
