- Today we had one of the most surreal experiences in our lives. We were invited back to the Buckingham Palace to dine with the King, and the royal family, the Korean President, Black Pink, president of Samsung, president of LG, and a lot of VIPS from the UK and Korea. It was such an honour to take part in this wonderful friendship between the two countries we love. We genuinely couldn't have done any of this without you guys' support, so thank you all!

You can tell the Royal planners were thinking things through when they sat the Korean speaking Brits next to the Korean idols who were going to be mentioned by name by the King, so make sure language wouldn't be an issue! Well done to the protocol team!

I can imagine that Jisoo was really glad that Josh was there to translate if necessary. Speaking a different language with someone there to back you up takes a huge weight off your shoulders.
I can imagine it was also a worry taken off the shoulders of the other girls.
As much as I commend Josh to serve as a translator to Jisoo. I imagine what if Ollie was the one sitting beside Jisoo (knowing that Ollie's fluency in Korean is not yet clean like Josh), it will be chaotically funny and cute at the same time HAHAHA
there's a chance the seating was on purpose considering the group's Korean background

Then, I saw Gabie first and then I was like “Wait….🧐 there you go, Josh and Ollie and Lizzie! “ WTH moment was too strong for me and it took like a minute to process 😆👏🥹😍 As a Blink and a Jollybean, this is a dream came true although I have never even imagined it 😅🥹🥰💪 Way to go, guys! I was talking to my wife the other day about how much I missed the older days of Korean Englishman/Jolly. When it was simple and filmed in the attic with Rev Chris and Charles, and all. But that’s just nostalgia. You guys helped pull me out of a bad time in my life and it was during those early Jolly days. I’ll always miss that, but I can’t help feel proud of two dudes from London going from a attic to Buckingham Palace.

As a fellow Brit who over the last few years have really started learning about Korea, their culture, food, music and entertainment, this channel has been amazing for me to feel connected to it all while still living in the UK! Hoping to be able to visit/live in Korea at some point to really learn the language better, but it's fair to say I have fallen in love with it all! I'm starstruck for you guys, it's all a bit mental!
Josh and Ollie really fit at the state dinner. They're literally the main bridge on TH-cam for Korean and British viewers to interact and he's introducing a lot of Korean culture to mainstream media, even before anything Korean started blowing up. So proud of you boys. And Gabie. And Lizzie. And the whole team. So proud of Ollie's Korean too, it sounds much more fluent now than in the Ollie Alone in Korea series. It would have been hilarious if Ollie still talked like he did in the Ollie Alone series to the Korean president! Hahaha But it shows how much Ollie's willing to learn the language and the mental strength it takes to take up a new language. Loved seeing Gabie in a hanbok while all the other Koreans wore Western clothing. Lizzie looked like a starry night sky with her dress and pearls. Josh casually offered to translate for Jisoo, and seeing Josh chatting about the experience and KE's beginnings, couldn't be prouder. I definitely did not see this coming when I first watched you guys asking your friends to try the Buldak ramyun some 9-10 odd years ago up to refreshing your channel every week during your one-year hiatus 2 years ago. Enjoyed every little bit of your channel. Can't wait to see what else is in store for KE!

First got the news about BP at the Palace and when I saw the pictures I was like 'hmm, familiar faces' but when I watched the video, I squealed. It's such a well deserved honor for everyone. That is why if they have live session on their channel the 3 other BP members would encourage her to converse in English for International fans. Actually Josh mentioned this here that in their dinner meeting at Buckingham, Jisoo was surprisingly good in English as he heard her conversing to a lady next to her but also noticed that she was a little hesitant to reply in English.

Her English is really good these days, but I'm sure it's stressful when you have other members who are fluent and can make you more critical of yourself. It was nice of Josh to help her out, and it's nice to hear the other girls were looking out for her and asking if she'd have someone to do that.
The fact that you guys had the chance to sit with the BLACKPINK girls and being able to talk to them literally makes my jaw drop.

I rarely comment on y'alls videos but I have to say this, the entire event was so surreal for us, the audience, and especially you lot, no one can top what y'all have experienced, like seriously if someone told me you were gonna have a state dinner with the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace along side The President and First Lady of Korea WITH MEMBERS OF BLACKPINK, I would have told them that would be a crazy fanfic but no it happened.
thank you for giving this little BTS and personal experiences of what you guys had not just during the dinner and what not, but your interactions with the Pinks themselves, and how especially you helped Jisoo because as confident as she is with her English she still gets nervous with it!

Getting to attend a British-Korean state dinner at Buckingham Palace is downright amazing and sitting with and meeting Blackpink is also downright amazing. What I found coolest, though, is that you lent a hand to Blackpink using your talents and that is absolutely not something that everyone can say, including there. You should be very proud!
