This event released to EN back when the only operators available at the time are those that were released during Dusk's Event (R6S don't count because honestly, all of them were terrible choices for their own event), at the time the most broken op we had was only Surtr, and Saga was pretty much the MVP for the OD-EX-8 among some strats. This was seriously difficult, but now with all these modern operators we have, it's basically a piece of cake.
You can just deploy Saga next to the blue box with Warfarin to heal her. SP goes brrr with Saga S2 M3 and Warfarin talent. Play with low to no sound because saga's going to be screaming constantly.
So the reason why this stage and boss specifically was hard back in the day because EN doesn't really have good ops for clearing boss + mobs Usually EN strat relies on surtr to kill the boss and relies on other ops like silverash or exusiai to hold on the mobs This boss however counter surtr very well. There's no great tile for surtr to kill the boss, even if you found it surtr atk speed will reduced if she somehow attack the mini enemies. Not only that, even exusiai somewhat countered in this by making the infiltrator less targeted to be attacked and the mini enemies lower her atk speed. Another aspect that EN forget is that we don't usually upgrade the ops beside the meta, we're lacking experimental stuff That's why the meme "just surtr it" Was created, because at thet time, yes surtr is the meta, while other 4 and 5 star was never really experimented by EN (almost rare you guys see doctor build bibeak or manticore back then) Again, it is possible to do this now, even with the op from that time because now we got the information and almost all doctors have experienced stage that was harder than this. Don't blame him guys, back then you guys know how hard this stage was
There was a Saga + Medic duo. And Saga basically solo DPS bottom lane. Most people who kept up with CN to some degree or knew people who kept up were aware of this, so most people went the Saga route and didn't have too much issue. For the people that didn't, they learned to use ranged AoEs because blocking the upgraded tumors slowed the operator down. Biggest issue at the end was the constant explosions obliterating operators, so it was basically just a stat check The map *was* difficult at the time, I'll give you that. But it wasn't the worst once you figured out enemy pathings and the like. And stat check shenanigans. Most people back then were still running E2 Lv 40~50 tops. Nowadays you will see a lot of Lv 90s I went with stall method. Ifrit lane with some backup on the top side for Infiltrators. Enough healing coverage for all operators, probably 3~4 medics and Saria S3 to battery cycle the medic bursts. Mob swarms were covered by Executor and Aosta with a block 3 guard. Pinecone was better for this though
This boss suicides. All you need to do is stall the trash and deal with the infiltrators separately. A big stack of medic defenders with Blaze and an AOE caster does the former, and a defender and a sniper does the latter.
Blaze and Lappland can also pretty much handle the bottom lane because Lapp silences the spiders and Blaze kills most of the litle dudes on her own. I think La Pluma was release at the time and she can very nearly solo the bottom lane too. But yeah, it's a hard stage if you don't have ops that deal well with spam.
i've used Myrtle for many years now and this is the very first time i've seen her s2 animation outside of IS you are quite the bold strategist also how are people pronouncing Degenbrecher so wrong? she says her name when you pull her lol
The explosions were the worst for me when this map came around. So I hunkered down with... 3~4 medics, Saria S3 to battery the burst heals along with Ptilo. Had Ceylon as well for her coverage and multi-target on S2. Forget if we had Whisperain yet, but that was another unit because Ceylon S2 synergy. Ifrit top lane with some supports as backup because mine wasn't strong enough. Aosta + Executor + 3 Block for bottom lane It was definitely a hard map, but knowing what was going on simplified it quite a bit when you realize it is just "stall one lane and clear stragglers on another" then try to survive by healing a ton at the end. Killing the boss quickly wasn't an option back then due to tile positioning and targeting shenanigans. No Mylnar to attempt True Damage cleave Rerun was much easier because the issue was basically a stat check on units for healing, and I leveled a few units above E2 45 for once. Just hit auto and was done. Then CM was a slight modification from before because stronger units made things a lot simpler in regards to healing and sustain
You use Cliffheart s2 for the top lane, stops them ever breaking through the bridge. Place her opposite the boss. Lappy behind a tank down the bottom to minimise the spawnlings.
considering challange mode was cleared at rerun I surely figured out something. Even managed a 5* only, no modules with operators released before the original event. You just need a ton of AOE like Manticore and Executor. You can even do fun stuff like Warfaring and Unlmited blade works Bilbeak and just spam the skill.
@@husaini8009 At least some effort was placed. I can almost see this as someone close to being braindead failing at their own challenge due to Actually. No. I can't find any reasoning behind this fuckup.
sorry to tell you, you don't know your operators and you don't know the mechanics of the level. With the operators you have on your team, you could have done it even with the OG operators. It's not the game's fault.
Also I never said it was the game's fault. The entire video explicitly is about my failures as a player. The claim was never that the stage was impossible, that's just the title because said title garners attention. @@YoursTruely yeah. I did watch it to the end. I think the struggle trying to figure it out how to solve it like a puzzle is part of the reason why the game is compelling. We know we can do it, it just takes some trial and error, and when you finally find the key to the solution, (Saria S2 in your case) it makes the whole struggle somewhat rewarding and from there you could choose to further optimize the solution and make it more efficient and faster with fewer operators etc.

The amount of time I have audibly SCREAMED at you to use pullers to camp pillardudes... Man. My throat is sore.
Back then you deployed Saga on the bottom, 2 defenders and got tinnitus from Saga screaming.

well, Siege, a Blaze, and Lappland all lined up in a row

pretty sure greyy alter could almost solo the slug waves when the bottom wall is blown up and the mobs move speed is slowed lol
grey alt didnt come until much later
