Was there just seven weeks ago. We had been told that it was good. It was spectacular! The route itself is fantastic. The views from Milford Sound are mind boggling. It is hard to realise the vast scale of the local mountains. Mitre Peak is over 5500 feet high! We loved it and want to go back again some time. Back in the UK again it all seems unreal, like a dream. Highly recommended.
Bring back the memory touring NZ before covid. Luckily got the chance to explore Milford Sound. I haven't got to see the scenery along the way as we started off quite early in the morning. But i remembered when we arrived at Homer Tunnel. The scenery after we came out from the tunnel was absolutely stunning. Thank you for the scenery along the way from Te Anau, it was amazing. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Been on that road from Queenstown to Homer Tunnel 4 times, got turned around because the Tunnel was blocked due to too much snow at the northern end. Had to hitch-hike to Te Anau next day, and the next day caught the bus to Milford Sound, this time got through the northern end of the Tunnel, but everyone had to cram themselves at the back of the bus to provide traction for the bus to travel down to the township. That was in 1975. It was a glorious day on the ship sailing up and down the Sound. Truly spectacular ❤😊
Amazing drive - through rainforests in rain, pretty authentic 😁💦, and the monumental mountains above! Special thanks for the views at the very end, the waterfalls... really a breathtaking scenery 💙👍!
Emerging from being surrounded by trees into the valley at 16:10 is indescribable. The absolute beauty of pulling over and walking out into the middle of that golden grassy field, being surrounded by the gorgeous mountains, is truly amazing. And that's only the beginning of this drive. This little corner of the world is so special. I've only been to New Zealand once, but even if I never go there again for the rest of my life I will never forget it.
Oh my what a beautiful stretch of road, and Milford Sound looks almost otherworldly with the sheer scale of the landscape. Very many thanks for this incredible video, I've never been to New Zealand and I'm getting a tad too old to go now. Many thanks again!...
A scenic route, but also requiring concentration through numerous turns with various "safe" speeds to negotiate and tight sections on bridges. The tunnel up there is also interesting.
Wonderful road to drive on, especially the downhill from Homer Tunnel to the Milford Sound fjord is truly spectacular. The landscape reminds me of Norway, there are similar roads there too. Thanks a lot for sharing such great quality videos, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!
Been through this road in 2016. Milford Sound has the best views of waterfalls and mountains, though I only catch a glimpse of a pair of dolphins 🐬 due to heavy rain at the time. One of the must visit places for nature lovers and tourists in NZ's South Island 🏝️

My word, what a sensational road from about 40 minutes in; jaw-dropping scenery!
Thank you for uploading this! New Zealand is the place I most want to visit in my lifetime and Milford Sound looks absolutely beautiful

Nice view
Wonderful vlog 👌👌👌👌👌
100% pure New Zealand
Amazing ❤
In winter season it is still not possible to do Queenstown- Milford Sound- Queenstown on the same day. You have to make an overnight stop in Te Anau.
Raiul pe pămînt!!
The uploading was taken during the summertime?
Like in UK, Japan and Indonesia, right steering car.
You forgot Australia!👍
Beautiful drive! However, the highway needs serious upgrades. Fund it through tolls or hotel levies.
👏👏👏😊👍
