- Welcome to my series ‘Preparing to Travel South East Asia’! I’m so excited to be bringing you all along on this journey.
From experience (what I’m currently going through right now), I know how overwhelming preparing to go travelling is - from knowing what size backpack to take, to visas, vaccinations, the route… I can say that it has been a job and a half having to prepare for this big trip.
This is why I am creating this series…in hope of helping out someone in the future to guide them a long the preparation process of travelling!
My aim is to inspire everyone who can, to travel & I hope that this series will give you the confidence you need to start!
I found hundreds of videos of people vlogging their travels, where they went etc, but never actually found anyone making a series of how you need to prepare to actually go travelling.

Looks perfect, I’m off to Aus in just over 2 months and a few people recommended a suitcase because they’re easier to access but with this bag opening out like that, I think I’ll deffo be getting one of these!

Ah I’m so glad to hear that I switched your mind from suitcase to this backpack :) I agree, it’s really convenient to have the bag opening like that, and makes it a lot easier than normal rucksacks. I hope you have a lovely time in Australia.

Hi, thank you for the comment! I’m glad I have tempted you haha.
So the measurements (cm) of the small 20L backpack are: 43 (H) x 32 (W) x 22 (D). So the laptop may not fit in there (or it might be a very tight squeeze)
Were you able to take this bag as over head ? Or did they make you check it in
I haven’t actually gone away yet but I will have to check this bag in - I believe it has to be under 50L to be a carry on bag
