Yes, it is Vergil reference. Apart from shadow ability, one of his stances is called Motivation.

Fact - "Forget the Past, Behold the Future" is actually a reference to the chapter in Shadow Fight 3 where player travels into future and meets Itu in his prime and "Time Manipulation" is the special ability of Bolo/Itu in that Chapter

As a iaido katana fan i really love the animation like the back attack that has changed animation and also the basic attacks. If i get this I'm gonna straight out dodging attacks.

Itu in this game is a walking reference. His lvl 10 talents combined are named "Forget the Past, Behold the Future" which is Heralds' motto and name of chapter VII. Other than that he is based on Vergil from Devil May Cry (mostly DMC V) following memes of his status. His stance is called "Motivation" which is what Vergil is known for. And Itu's shadow ability being literally Vergil's ability called "Judgement Cut" or "Judgement Cut End".
From the things I don't like much are his redesign and replacing abilities he had with the ones he didn't (healing shield changed to slow-motion for example).
I love that he is in the game but I hate that he's treated way too well compared to Marcus although both of them are main characters from sf3.
Rarity bias shows a bit because Itu's a legendary and Marcus isn't.
But they should have kept the healing shield, just nerf the healing rate.
Removing healing shield was necessary because it would have been camper heaven
I think they haven't shown any partiality coz itu and bolo both are same he played a double role so he definitely deserve to be legendary hero 👀
Bolo (itu) can completely avoid your hits and healing like crazy by stopping you from hitting him with a time barier and then when it ends he stops the time itself so I don't see they gave him a non existent power

Itu's default skin is called The Chancellor. One of Midnight's final talents is called "For the Chancellor". Guess Itu really took Midnight under his wing during the finale of SF3. First June, then Jet, now Midnight. Itu getting all the ladies XD

That time slow is one of the opest ranged thing i have ever seen literally u can do anything with that from dodging to attacking to landing shadow moves and a best thing for and against campers

Well my thoughts were not exact but my prediction about a long charged powerful strike was correct, as based on the first trailer of itu in sfa, the only prediction that didn't come true of mine was the defended sitting healing, maybe it is skill that we u lock as the last skill of itu character.

Itu is pretty powerful and broken. His shadow talent that makes his shadow attack cover the whole screen is what makes him broken. The damage must be reduced in order to keep him balanced. Plus Itu will now be the campers new favorite character because of his ability to slow down time. It would be better to reduce its time of use and increase its reload time a little bit so that he won't become a problem especially if a camper or spammer uses it. Those are the things that is needed to be changed on him (in my opinion) so that we genuine players will not have another hero that is a pure headache for us.
Nah bro it's good if it got balance update then we can't say him as legendary and almost every character can counter him especially sarge and king of leagon so there is no worry

No matter what, it is Itu's speed that counters both Sarge and KotL. Even if they do indeed pressure him, Itu will walk away due to the new ability on his ranged attack. Sarge and KotL don't counter him, in fact quite the opposite actually.

@Nsg pheonix everything aside i know how powerful he is but don't you see his full shadow ability will unlock at teir 5 and due to shard system it will me next to impossible to unlock to 5th tier

Idk if OPSSSSS dude watches these videos (OPSSSSS is his nickname he uses, he participates in the high stakes Itu event) but he is the best player I have fought with yet (on the current account, I have reset my progress). No toxicity, plays fair, very good at Butcher, he's just amazing. I kinda felt bad for defeating him because he really deserved the victory, but such is the game. He literally almost defeated my whole team using Butcher until I have chosen Itu. Even with Itu I had like 30% HP when he had one more hero to use (Itu as well) and, oh boy, that was some amazing round. If I had not watched this video, I would definitely have lost the match, he got owned by my skills (even went silent) even though he fought well.

Few months ago I asked Nekki for adding someone with Iaido Katana as Devine Judge set of SF3 my favorite..They replied they may add someone oneday but that's a surprise...and they gave this awesome character with much more power and talents. Thanks for the gameplay🙂

I just unlocked him tow days ago i already unlocked all characters exept him he is the last he is truly amazing and his fighting style is so cool and a very strong character even after the nerf i actually fought much higher level opponents and managed to defeat them when i play him definitely him and kotl my most favourite

The charecter is like the dream charecter I had in mind. Lots of similarities to Vergil too, imagine if he had shadow ability Thunder Flash as well of Zenitsu from Demon Slayer? 💀💀 oh and the sound effect is awful for the ultimate ability or whatever its called.
I thought slowing time abilities wont be possible in online games due to how its hard to keep both charecters in sync. But this works becos time slows for both players but the one who activated the ability moves faster while the opponent is sluggish. Impressive overall.

Actually the reason they didn't add the healing shield is because it will be of no use for the genuine players as you can easily jump forward and strike and it will also motivate the campers to camp more as they will move to the corner and use the skills as a result you can't jump forward because of the wall. So they did the right thing but one thing i would be pleased if they add that talent in which you can put a black hole in the ground so the enemy can get trapped in it and you can strike

Kibo and Ling cannot but bulwark still have chance to protect from shield but still it has a very little chance.

Hey i know a way to dadge the ultimate shadow attack of itu bro try it with helga marcus or empereor . Okay with the empereor when itu uses the shdaow attack you transform to beast mode because you will be temporarily invincble same as marcus in short use characters that are invincble for short period of time
