I am planning to use that on the new campaign I am joining. Since I am a player and DM both I know there is a lot of sea living monsters whose walking speed on land is zero. You can literally stand in a distant and blast it with cantrips til it dies

Holy shit! HOLY SHIT! I cannot BELIEVE I didn’t already know that proZD was the voice of Senshi! I feel so embarrassed 🤦♂️ Wow he does an AMAZING job. I had no idea it was him. That man is a HELL of a voice actor.
I think they did a pretty good job with dubbing this. The english VA´s show effort in this, and while some scenes lacked the hysteria that was done so well in JP, they did it very well when it mattered the most
The more of Laios and Marcille i see the more i realize those are the two kinds of dnd characters i play... strong dummy who will eat the weirdest thing... and the one who panics I adore them

I'm used with songs not getting dubbed I watched a lot of stuff in Spanish and almost 80% of the songs in the Spanish versions I watch are not dubbed in Spanish only in English and I'm just glad this didn't get dubbed because I don't want to hear Emily Rudds voice or singing
I wish they dubbed it in English! The English voice actor for Laios is apart of a comedy channel on TH-cam, so I'd imagine he would've done the singing if they let him.
Apparently the kraken meat tasted bitter, much like giant squid does IRL due to the high concentration of ammonium chloride in their bodies. The taste is likened to salty, rotten licorice.
@@bthsr7113 For large marine animals like the giant squid and some sharks, their bodies store large amounts of urea, results in the production of significant amounts of ammonia as a metabolic byproduct. So that's probably what's bitter and stink, and its really hard to get around ammonia. It would need a long period of fermentation to reduce some of the odors or make them more easily digestible.
I didn't like Marcilles English voice at first, but it's really grown on me! She sounds soft spoken and delicate, but when she's stressed who true personality shines through in her whining lol
From the small snipets of this anime I've seen, it has a surprisingly good eng dub. It sounded natural. Whereas I always hear dubs, and they sound (overacted) And Im saying that as a jp sub purist 😂.
Americans tend to think that voices that are too high-pitched are annoying or childish. Marcelle's voice might be deeper in the English version, but it still sounds very high-pitched and girly to me. Same with Zelda. Most anime girl voices are lowered slightly in the English dub.
The English version of Marcil sounds a bit one-note. The Japanese version of Marsil has more emotional ups and downs. Senshi and Laios are all tasteful.
@@hafirenggayudaconsidering this show's strict adherence to being as logically scientific as a fantasy setting can get, then a siren (mammal-like fish) is most definitely a different species than a merman (a fish humanoid), as Laios explained in the episode. Sirens hunting the mermen also makes sense because with them being the more human-like of the two suggested that they bite/chew their victims first instead of swallowing whole like fishes do, and why the mermen's main food source is the smaller fishes instead.

マルシルは60歳だけど、人間年齢に換算するとミドルティーンくらいで若いって裏設定があるので千本木彩花の演技も的確なんだが
エミリー・ラッドの「しっかり者のフリしたアホ」みたいな演技もすごく好きだ
小学3年生くらいって換算してる人もいた

例えば「高かったのに～！」のところは字幕だと"expensive"だけど、吹き替えだと"too much money"になってる
「のに～！」と「マニ～！」を合わせたんだと思う
海外はやたらリップシンクにこだわりますよね
日本アニメは大体がただの口パクだからここぞって時に合わせるのは流石
岡田斗司夫がアメリカ人は口パクとセリフが合ってないと違和感を感じるらしく声優が先に演技をしてそれに合わせて絵を描くの主流だと言ってたね。
今回は絵が先にあってそれに後からセリフを入れてる筈だからここまでタイミングを合わせてるのは凄いと思う。
The lil "I DONT WA-" ProZD adds during Senshi's tantrum just about killed me when I heard it. Its just a hilarious little touch to the dialogue.
