This has always been one of my absolute favorite SID tracks. Martin Galway is such a genius.

It is simply unbelievable how good the music in this game is.

That's a unique looking filter wave in the beginning, almost looks like a triangle wave.

I remember buying Wizball at £9.99 and thinking that was waste. Turned out to be one of the greatet games I would ever play.

How much I wish there was an actual equivalent chip to the SID, so that much more people could really experience it. This device is very fragile and it's becoming even more rare to find one these days

There is the SwinSID that is basically an FPGA recreation.

@@ozzie_goatit's really inaccurate though. the best one can get is an ASIC clone.

@@forple8930 I heard about the inaccuracy. People really think FPGAs are some flawless magical do-everything devices.

Wow, incredible to be honest. Although I understood the principles of ADSR it wasn't until I literally saw this that I could see the individual sound wave patterns... Thanks you . Absolute belter of a tune . Thanks

i figured out that the lead guitar instrument at the beginning is a combination of filtered outputs lpf+bpf+hpf with variable cutoff frequency! i tested it by creating filters from scratch and tuning it with information from oscilloscope view outputs so it should be mostly correct

Its great to hear and see this track. Fantastic reminder of how good the SID was and is. I have a video on the difference in sound between the old and new SID chips, but your video is compelling.

Channelling Glass. Fantastic until the loop seam at the end of the track, what an awkward jump, probably ran out of memory.

In an interview of Galway that I read he stated that he sometimes "ran out of juice too quickly, and that shows in tunes like wizball and green berret." He started of strong, but just couldn't find a way to continue or finish the track...
Story of my life when composing music :P
