I watched them filming this in Toronto. The mini cooper chase was filmed at the Yonge St. and King St. intersection downtown. Saw Sandler and Dinklage for second while doing in between shots. I stood on Melinda St. and watched for about an hour. Really cool how things get filmed and they put it all together.
The character was Max Headroom, massive in the 80s for a while. The robot was Grunt (I believe) from the Robotron game. I also couldn’t believe you kept saying cube instead of pixel. Things weren’t being turned into cubes, they were being pixelated.
@amayahills8893 I don't know what makes you think 1985 is before 2013. Obviously Eminem was the original here. Sarcasm aside, the Max Headroom signal hijacking incident in 1987 was wild. I wasn't old enough to know about it when it happened but learning about it and watching it later was a trip. I never saw the 1985 original.
And to think this film is directed by the same guy who directed films, such as ‘Home Alone 1 & 2’, ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’, the first two films of the ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise, and the first ‘Percy Jackson’ film. ‘Pixels’ is a guilty pleasure of mine, really. I saw it twice when it first came out in theaters, and I absolutely loved it. Looking at it now, I love it just as much now as I did back then. Definitely one of my favorite films from 2015❤️
I love this movie! It's entertaining and fun, which is truly all that matters. The soundtrack is really good and the nostalgia around the video games makes me feel all fuzzy and warm with great childhood memories of going to video game arcades in the late 70's thru the 80's. And this is just my own personal opinion but this is my 2nd favorite Adam Sandler movie (after Happy Gilmore).
27:15 - No, that was not the actual Turu Iwotani..... however, Turu DOES have a cameo in this movie. He's the Japanese man working on one of the games during the 1982 tournament scene. He wasn't given a speaking role, as he doesn't speak English.
One of my favorite movies! I remember when I watched it in theaters and afterwards I begged my mom to buy the dvd, she did and to this day I still watch it often
24:38 Small detail to note: The four “Ghost” minis have the correct corresponding name license plate to their colors!!! The attention to detail on this movie is Asteroid-nomical!!!
OMG, i cant believe this movie was screened when i was 12 yeras old, it doesn't feel that long time ago as a child back then, i love this movie, i have a great time enjoying this movie with my family i strongly disagree that ppl hate this movie because of some 'this is not cinema' reason sometimes we just need some fun and goody movie to make our days, to relieve from the reality and connected with our family
That Skull bottle is actually Vodka. It's Dan Aykroyd's actual Vodka that he created himself, I saw him promoting it years ago on some show. Forgot the name though.
37:18 IT'S MAX HEADROOM!! Which... isn't a video game. The only thing I can think is for some reason the tape they sent to space included a commercial break with 80s mascots in it? Max Headroom was kinda like what "Face" used to be for nick jr. or the Crypt Keeper. He would just show up between TV shows and tell you what was coming on next. I forget what channel he was a mascot for. This is coming from someone born in 91 btw, so I barely remember most of that stuff.
This movie was actually very inspired by an old video you might have seen 10-15 years ago called "CLASSIC ARCADE GAMES ATTACK NEW YORK CITY", you should check it out, it is very surprising to see how many ideas of the 'Pixels' movie are in this 2min video !
I don't about anywhere else, but here in Jersey there is a small chain of arcades that regularly hold tournaments. It's mostly fighting games, but yeah, video game tourneys still exist.
i always have fun with watching this movie it's also on the list of favorite adam sandler movies for me and for the kevin james character it makes sense for him to not be fighting since he's the president and has to be kept safe at all times and why he mentioned he went rogue to help them. another adam sandler rec i would suggest zookeeper even though it's a voiceover role for him it also has kevin james in it. a kevin james movie rec : here comes the boom
the chef and the fried egg is from "Burgertime", I believe the robot might be from "Berzerk" where you had to kill robots attacking humans and of course, the big head was Max Headroom - from his own movie and TV series to commercials.
1:56 He directed both McCauley Culkin Home Alone films, and he also directed the following : Bicentennial Man Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief Adventures In Babysitting (1987) Nine Months Mrs. Doubtfire I Love You, Beth Cooper 2 out of the 7 Harry Potter films Among others, just to name a few.. 😌😁
I love this movie. [it's really well put togheter. Amazing reaction. I HHIGHLY recommend ''THE LOST CTY'' with Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum. It is hilariuos and really well crafted
There is an Adam Sandler movie that wasn't mentioned. Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights. The only movie you get to see Adam Sandler animated. There is only two Percy Jackson movies The Lightning Thief and Sea of Monsters a lot of people were very disappointed in both movies. They read the books and expected the movies to be somewhat accurate with the books.
This was a fun movie and i never once thought about it being woke or anti woke with any hidden agenda's.... Why does Greg insist on crowbarring these cringe comments in to nearly every reaction.. Just react to the movies and enjoy them.
About Arcade championships, kinda? Mainly fighting games, but still most of those are on console. Also look up the Tekken tournament scene in Pakistan. That's some next level stuff. Edit: also that guy is Max Headroom
I never really understood why people didn’t like this movie. I wanted to watch this movie for years. Couldn’t really find a way to watch it. But when I did last year. I loved it! I’m glad people are watching this movie. And enjoying it.
"I like this movie way more than I thought I would" is such a common reaction people have to adam sandler movies... as if somehow he has a reputation of bad movies lol
After watching your guys reaction (and me not watching it in a very long time) it actually isn’t terrible, hated it for not reason (of course a little cheesy here and there)

37:07 pretty sure that Eminem in his song
I watched them filming this in Toronto. The mini cooper chase was filmed at the Yonge St. and King St. intersection downtown. Saw Sandler and Dinklage for second while doing in between shots. How dare you not know who max headroom is lol
Definitely one of the best Adam Sandler movies out there. I'm still traumatized by what happened to Qbert at the end. Most tragic part of the movie.
Agreed my favorite part of that is Adam Sandler also being traumatized like “That was Qbert!”
Same here
Indeed it was
It's nothing compared to Waterboy or Happy Gilmore lol
Adam Sandler didn't even like Pixels
Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it underrated? Absolutely.
low standards
@@JoeChilltonTrying too hard to critique a movie that just wants you to have fun.
@@JoeChilltonNuh uh
fun fact: the little kid in this, Matty, is the same kid that plays Bruno, Kamala’s friend in Ms. Marvel.
Oh crap, that makes so much sense! Thanks for pointing that out!
no problem haha
No way!
I was just wondering what happened to that kid.
The character was Max Headroom, massive in the 80s for a while. The robot was Grunt (I believe) from the Robotron game. I also couldn’t believe you kept saying cube instead of pixel. Things weren’t being turned into cubes, they were being pixelated.
It also looks like eminem in Rap god
@@fortnitepro2046well eminem was imitating max headroom in that scene in the rap god vid so understandable
@amayahills8893 I don't know what makes you think 1985 is before 2013. Obviously Eminem was the original here.

ikr it's literally the movie title lol
Was it Robotron or Berzerk? Saw joust, defender, burger time to name a few.
Did you also surprisingly enjoy this movie?!
No
Yeah, This movie gets/got so much flack, but it is an absolute blast. I enjoy watching it!
Yes because Josh Gad singing everybody wants to rule the world is peak cinema
I love this movie!
It's entertaining and fun, which is truly all that matters.

One of my favorite movies! I remember when I watched it in theaters and afterwards I begged my mom to buy the dvd, she did and to this day I still watch it often
I got the dvd too but my tv just couldn’t work for the extreme amount of pixels in the movie 😂
24:38 Small detail to note: The four “Ghost” minis have the correct corresponding name license plate to their colors!!! The attention to detail on this movie is Asteroid-nomical!!!
Saw this movie in theaters and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! Loved the reaction as always!
37:11 That would be Max Headroom.
OMG, i cant believe this movie was screened when i was 12 yeras old, it doesn't feel that long time ago

Crystal head
That was Max Headroom from MTV back in the 80s
He looks so much like Eminem from Rap God
Love the reaction and love having Tara so often on the channel! Her chemistry with Greg, Roxy, and Aaron is great!
The digital guy in the suit was Max Hedrum. he was an thing in the 80s that was pretty cool for a minute.
He was also the subject of a TV hacking incident
37:18 IT'S MAX HEADROOM!! Which... isn't a video game. The only thing I can think is for some reason the tape they sent to space included a commercial break with 80s mascots in it? also explain to Tara how time works. this movie was 8 years ago, that "kid" was Matt Lintz the 22-year-old actor who played Bruno in Ms Marvel.
The movie is surprisingly enjoyable and pretty funny to watch! 👍
One of my favorite movies!! You definitely have to be above a certain age to appreciate all the references.....I am above that age. 😂
This movie was actually very inspired by an old video you might have seen 10-15 years ago called "CLASSIC ARCADE GAMES ATTACK NEW YORK CITY", you should check it out, it is very surprising to see how many ideas of the 'Pixels' movie are in this 2min video !

The end OMG he's such a perfectionist that Greg 😂
I live in Australia. It is 4:00 AM. I just woke up to take a wee. I am now watching this reaction, woohoo!! 😝 love you guys 👍🏼

wow 11:44 never know this was shot in my city..
Sean Bean using Weiner Coat as an insult is hilarious LMAOOOO 🔥
I’m still trying to figure out if Tara is a stoner or just super chill. Sometimes after she talks I’m like woah.
YESS!!! I WANTED A PIXELS REACTION LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!!SORRY HAD TO LET OUT MY EXCITEMENT BEFORE WATCHING
I absolutely loved this movie It had unbelievable comedy and great sequences 😊
I love how this movie is basically Ghostbusters but with video games instead of ghosts! 👾🕹
Max Headroom was the Dude In The Sky, Jane Krakowski had one of the funniest lines in National Lampoons Vacation as Cousin Vicki
the chef and the fried egg is from "Burgertime", I believe the robot might be from "Berzerk" where you had to kill robots attacking humans and of course, the big head was Max Headroom - from his own movie and TV series to commercials.
Actually that skull is for vodka. That’s Crystal Head Vodka. It’s Dan Aykroyd’s brand
10:13 "Somebody's more important!" 🤝"Somebody's closer"
Same voice from Happy Gilmore. 😂
The actual inventor is the repairman in the arcade
I’m convinced the whole staff started watching movies the day they made this TH-cam channel.
My favorite adam sadler film and game movie!!! All the old school video game references and it's a cool story line!! ❤️❤️❤️
Max headroom was a virtual tv host in the 80s
That is Matt Frewer reprising his performance as Max Headroom. A character that he played in the 80s.
3:54 Tara is channeling her inner Bully Maguire.
Look at little Sandler Jr. Gonna cry?”
Definitely one of the best Adam Sandler films ever.
This movie is so underrated. I still count this as a Video Game Adaptation Movie!
Y’all (especially Coy) should watch Moving. It’a great kdrama about superpowered people. ❤
I'm happy to see you guys react one of my favorite movies ever
You and your pixels (ft. Tara & greg)
This movie made me quesrion life until Kevin James yelled "WHERES MY GAMERS AT"
Then i knew this movie was something else
37:14 supposed to be Eminem in Rap God music video i think
I remember watching this movie a few years back and it was amazing and still is.
Max headroom was a comedy bit by Matt frewer that was adapted into a dystopian Sci-Fi series of the same name that is worth watching.
if greg wants to watch adam sandler look like an action hero he should watch dont mess with the zohan
Chris Columbus directed the first two Harry Potter movies, Greg 😄🔥 both were amazing 😎
"who is this"
Max Headroom
(Matt Frewer)
Max Headroom was a thing in the 80s to reflect A.I. of the future for the music video VJs
The guy with sunglasses and suit is called rap god.
the actual creator of pacman was in the beginning of the movie as a janitor in the arcade
i actually enjoyed this movie a lot
1:56 He directed both McCauley Culkin Home Alone films, and he also directed the following :
Bicentennial Man
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Adventures In Babysitting (1987)
Nine Months
Mrs. Doubtfire
I Love You, Beth Cooper
2 out of the 7 Harry Potter films
Among others, just to name a few.. 😌😁
If you haven’t seen it yet Blended with Adam Sandler is so good
Max Headroom,! damn I feel old now you did not now this LOL . josh show you could not recall was AVENUE 5 on HBO
I love this movie. [it's really well put togheter. Amazing reaction. I HHIGHLY recommend ''THE LOST CTY'' with Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum. It is hilariuos and really well crafted
My kids love this movie. I'm surprised it's still in rotation during road trips.
This movie seriously deserves a sequel!!!!
Next to Dodgeball, Pixels is my guilty pleasure.
Fun fact: all the pixel creatures are based on a lot of old arcade game classics!
Something I love about this movie is if a character is being made fun of, they throw the exact wording back at them. 😂
Glad someone reacted to it.
"JFK shot first!"
Needs to be on a t-shirt with his face.
Omg I love this movie.🔥🔥🔥
5:20 Me: It’s Galaga! God, I’m old! 😫 😆

I love this movie kinda wish they made a sequel to be completely honest!
Did anybody else realize that the kid is who plays Kamala’s best friend in Ms Marvel???
This was a fun movie and i never once thought about it being woke or anti woke with any hidden agenda's.... Why does Greg insist on crowbarring these cringe comments in to nearly every reaction.. Just react to the movies and enjoy them.
Another amazing adam sandler and chris rock movie would be the longest yard!!!! AMAAAAZING MOVIE
Awesome vid! Any of you guys seen Time Bandits or Brazil? Comes from Terry Gilliam of the Monty Python group.
I enjoy this movie, one of the best Adam Sandler movies I’ve ever seen.
Lmao we need a whole reaction of Tara and Greg doing British accents
I remember I watched this with my parents at the cinemas 😂
The ginger kid is actually the same Actor who played Kamala’s friend in Ms Marvel and auditioned for Spiderman, Matthew Lintz!
Just realize something...two infamous Game Of thrones in one movie...how can i miss that when i first time watchuing this????!
About Arcade championships, kinda? Mainly fighting games, but still most of those are on console.
Also look up the Tekken tournament scene in Pakistan. That's some next level stuff.
Edit: also that guy is Max Headroom
I quote this movie constantly 😂
Max Headroom was the character you weren't sure of
I never really understood why people didn’t like this movie. I wanted to watch this movie for years. Couldn’t really find a way to watch it. But when I did last year. I loved it!
I’m glad people are watching this movie. And enjoying it.
this is ludlo lemonsoft the wonder kid also known as ...
YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE
The Chef and Egg are from BurgerTime.
"I like this movie way more than I thought I would" is such a common reaction people have to adam sandler movies... as if somehow he has a reputation of bad movies lol
28:55 it's funny because you actually play with Pacman and not with the ghosts so her joke doesn't make sense
Tara Erickson is a gem lol
max headroom a show from late 80s
This is what we call a fast food movie!
Underrated Adam Sandler movie for sure
After watching your guys reaction (and me not watching it in a very long time) it actually isn’t terrible, hated it for not reason (of course a little cheesy here and there)
Cheesy-ness out of an Adam Sandler film is par for the course! It’s like watching a Will Smith film and waiting for his “Fresh Prince Yell” lol
Peter Dinklage is incredible in this movie. He reminds me of Philip Seymour Hoffman, with how much he commits to the ridiculousness of his character 😂
I love Pixels.
This movie is so fun! I was really surprised it got negative reviews when it came out.
37:17 that's EMINEM. His music video for the 'Rap God' song has a aesthetic like this....
the compuerized blonde dude with the suit and shades is MAX i think he started as a commercial spokes A.I for pepsi
