Thank you.
A real monster of a suite, and this pianist eats it for breakfast. What a gem of a recording.
Played by GENIUS
GENIUS as a composer, conductor, transposer, pianist and more musical abilities. So thankful to be able listen to Pletnev every day! Merci beaucoup.
This familiar masterpiece is beyond description , immeasurable , unfathomable , and full of admiration and emotion , and comfortable to the ear and the mind
Nice to hear another recording of Pas de Deux besides Pletnev’s own where the performer actually has the virtuosity to pull off the climax well. Thanks for the upload
You should listen to Alexander Malofeev's recording of pas de deux
Danke schön!!! Bamberg
Player Mr.LEE Hyuk, winner of Concours international Marguerite-Long=Jacques-Thibaud Piano2022. He is so Genius, clearly, beautiful sound playing.
And He is Finalist of International Chopin Piano Competition 2021.
I remember hearing my piano teacher playing this

I wonder why Rachmaninov, having made a transcription of one movement, wasn't tempted to do the whole thing. Pletnev makes a fantastic job of it, though. A flawed genius.
Great transcription to piano from Pletnev.
Beautiful!!!
YES
Dude you’re here.
Indeed !
this pianist is incredible, if this isnt how it is meant to be played then nothing else is

is this the same hyuk lee as the finalist in the chopin competition
Yes
👍👍
Who on Earth can play this? It's sooo difficult!
It is difficult. I love how Valentina Lisitsa does it
@Möy Somehow, I doubt Mephisto Waltz No. 1 is specifically harder than any particularly virtuosic section here.
@Möy Some sections are easy, but some are rather challenging. I would probably venture as to say that "Pas de deux" is harder than the entire Mephisto Waltz.
@Möy Of course, I might be wrong, but this is just subjective.
@MöyPoor example. The Mephisto waltz is absolutely not more difficult than this, quite the other way around. I can play the former but not this suite. It is devilishly difficult and was written considerably later than Liszt’s works. You’d have trouble arguing “wait till you hear about Liszt” in this context.
wow! good
