    I was born in the UK, but emigrated years ago, I go back to see family, but would never live there again, it’s got to a point of no return, because to fix it, would mean huge deportation, massive changes to law and order, and trying to find politicians, who work for the people, not themselves.

      You can't deport people when you don't know where they are from. Huge numbers arrive everyday and the first thing they do is discard all their documents in the sea. Even if there was an appetite to start mass deportations..... it can't be done. No other country will accept them. You have to remove the attraction of coming to the UK.

    We stopped the issue of mass shootings over here by coming down hard on gun control. We had one major mass shooting in Scotland and we decided that was enough! The US could have learnt a lot from that. We need to do the same with knives. We can't ban knives of course, but as Eddie says, we need a zero tolerance for being caught with a knife. Put them in prison for a long long time, no questions asked. I don't want to hear the usual bullshit: "I have to carry it to protect myself", put them in prison and let them sit there for years (none of this, out in half the time on good behaviour bs as well). Right now, it's not risky to carry one because you get a slap on the wrist from the courts, that needs to be changed.

      Brits get arrested for liking a single post on Facebook. Yes that has happened. They can't be sarcastic about any issue. Americans still have far more freedom of Speech than any other nation. But America has lost a ton of freedoms in the speech arena

    *Politics is actually SUPER simple.* It's a popularity test to get in (which Eddie would win), and then it just requires loyality & common sense to govern (which Eddie has so much moreso than our Commy politicians like Starmer).

    The murder rate per person is far far worse in America when compared to the U.K

      @raphphoenix1156 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's a nuanced argument considering we have no legal ownership of guns bar farmers we have ridiculous stabbing statistics for a leading nation a London is more dangerous than New York per capita now

    • @keithchegwin1222
      @keithchegwin1222 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @raphphoenix1156 No that's definitely not true, New York and London both have a similar population size. Last year London had 116 murders and New York had 386 murders. So you're more than 3 times more likely to be murdered than in London factually speaking.
      It's a lot more dangerous in London now, that's why it seems so dangerous. But like I say, it's far safer than New York.

    I’m a big boxing guy so I was surprised when I saw Eddie on the PBD show. Eddie is the hardest working guy in the sport and I’m American but got a lot of respect for Eddie Hearn and matchroom. Eddie for PM would be cool but I would really miss him promoting the sport I love. So selfishly I don’t want him to run. But if the UK people want and need him I respect it.

    The UK has the same problems as most Western countries. Progressive governments that have lost focus (or don't care) on getting the basics right. IMO that's why Trump won because he understands that if you get the basics right, everything else falls into place.
