Does Nonna Gloria make the taralli that is more like a breadstick with fennel seeds? My family is from Puglia and makes it this way no sugar. Dough is made, let rise for an hour, make the round or oval shape, then place in boiling water, then once they rise up to top take them out to dry a little and bake them.
I make Taralli except after I shape the dough(circle)we cut it all the way around and boil the dough and then bake them and they puff up-make a glaze and add the small ball multicolor candies
