50 year old here and I completely agree, I am of the NCAA 98 generation lol, I have not been so excited for a video game in decades. It is amazing how when EA allows a group of creators who are actually fans of the sport, gives them time and money to do a game and this is the result, not some roster update we get with other games.

Got my ass beat a gew times because I haven't played an EA football game since 2016, but after 2 games kinda got the hang again. Playing on all pro. Passing is definitely harder than it was in the older games. I need to get better at running spread option.

It’s not a running or passing game. The break tackles are coming from the ball carrier running full speed it’s more so of a momentum thing. If you want to stop the runners get to them before they get to full speed or else it’ll be harder to slow and bring them down.
@roychato2000 I tried to play the Red River Shootout as Oklahoma for my first game. Threw 4 picks in the first half and decided to go to practice. Also, it doesn't help that I'm used to using XBox controllers and I keep hitting Square when I mean to hit X
@roychato2000 haha. I refuse to turn down the difficulty, and am trying to learn the new pass mechanics. Gotta travel the rest of this week, gonna take the PS5 with me and get some practice in my hotel room
Pro tip: If you turn Camera Toggle off like pop suggest you cannot zoom in or out in Road to Glory. Disabling camera toggle enables strategy pad controls.

At the beginning of the second season as I'm adjusting my roster there's no button for red shirt but there is a column showing whether they are red-shirted

Great tips! I am Looking for a couple more things that should be seemingly easy to find in the menus. How do you: Play 1x1 online with my team's real roster vs someone else's teams real roster. Like me and Joe Blow online go head to head with KU vs K-State. Is there a competitive mode capable of doing this as well? Play a traditional Season vs CPU: Play the real teams roster through the season and take them to a bowl game. Not interested in cards, recruiting, dynasties, etc at this time.

best tip dont buy and play. the defense is just horrible in that game, its basically always who makes the one mistake because otherwise almost each play is a big gain or a td. im average at madden but this is just a joke. i dont mind being bad but the game doesnt even tell you how to get better.
I’m annoyed that I can only play my player and not control the whole team when I play road to glory, I have to play make a dynasty to do that, and that sucks in my opinion.
