I'm often surprised as the IVs that you choose to invest in. I'm also not sure just how beneficial a rank 1 is vs a rank 4000. Lastly, another great video would be how you approach team building. You are clearly great at making teams! That or understanding how/when to throw moves. I don't understand what you mean by throwing on count and such. Thanks again!
On this Avalugg, he probably invested in the first one he got so that he could make the video asap. Not the best decision for competing at the highest level, but a very good decision for content creation. I’d recommend checking out Swagtips for pvp IV’s. His deep dive series is really good.
he uses raid IVs since he wants to put out content as fast as possible! he probably gets these mons from remote raids in Australia or New Zealand, since they are first released there.
The IVs don't matter much for those Pokemon you can't get in wild In this video Trev has higher IVs to save Stardust and same for virizion . Also virizion is legendary Pokemon not catchable in wild, so you had to trade to get PvP IVs but it is simply not worth that much effort as it would be a special trade
For ivs on early releases, I often sacrifice optimal ivs for speed 😅 The trevenant ivs are intentional, as winning cmp in the mirror is quite handy! Typically I do try for optimized ivs, but on legendaries/ new releases I use the best I can get! For team building, I often try and identify a particular meta core (in holiday, for example altaria-lanturn), and try to identify core breakers. Also, I try and structure my teams in an ABB style (back 2 share a weakness, lead mon covers that weakness).
I'm having a lot of fun in the moment running Verizon, Lugia and Alolan Golem. The team is surely not super strong or perfectly balanced, but lot's of times either Verizon or Golem are core-breakers and Lugia grabs switch, because people refuse to shield the aeroblast. So not a great meta-team, but lot's of fun to play.
Maybe virizion should run stone edge instead of leaf blade nowadays: all those flyers wall its standard moveset and the grass coverage is not needed against the most common water types such as gyarados or swampert, since their water moves are not a threat
Exactly what I thought. His Trev has seed bomb already, he should've gone for Sacred Sword and Stone Edge Virizion. Both are solid moves, and STAB Sacred Sword hits hard even for neutral damage.

Cobalion is actually the best Sword for UL, but this team becomes double weak to fighting and water with Steel type Cobalion in the mix. Virizion was the best of the Swords to be in this team. The Virizion however would've done much better with Stone Edge.
How is anyone playing this game? I just played 3 sets and it’s so buggy it’s insane. I had three losses from charge moves not showing up on a switch, and 2 losses on lag so bad people were sneaking moves like season 8.
At this point, Nintendo looks to Henry to see what the new pokemon will be.
