At 16 years old Danceteria was my first club I’ve ever been too. I was the youngest in the group. Good memories of seeing lights embedded in the floor.

Jaja, Audrey, Ruben, Marik and the band of Russian guys, Dimitri and Nicole, Bjorn, I remember you all forever in my heart best time of my life..... It was my first club too, I came here every week-end, such a great place, great people and the best music in NY ! I loved it so much ! And yes, it was great to be in NY in the 80ies !!!🧡💛💚💙

It was cool and the gang to party at DANCETERIA. Should had married my steady running buddy for trips to the place. We could chat about lacrosse or Romare Bearden or Andy Warhol or Lloyd Richards or national politics or the week's movements in the DJIA through the din then PLANET ROCK or ROCK LOBSTER or BEAT ON THE BRAT would blare through the speakers and we'd look at each other and head to the dance floor.
I'm hopeful she's cool and the gang.
