to be honest I am not a cat expert but there is a video Jackson Galaxy made on introductions that may help with the fights you are basically supposed to feed them in a way they can't see each other but they can only smell that way they learn that the other cats smell is good because their smell means food and food is good (don't ask how that works it's cat logic)

In 2016, I brought a 3 year old home to my 7 and 8 year olds. My 8 year old had always been aggressive to any and every thing (people and dogs included), so, I was worried that the 3 year old might not survive. Much to my surprise, the 3 year old took over the house. When her tail doubles in size, I tell her "Put the poof away and behave." It doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. I'm glad yours are getting along better and hopefully, Koyu will come around soon. If not, you may have to install screen doors like I did. Good luck and thanks for the update!
