My problem is kind of similar in that I constant think "I could be working on my next video, and I _should_ be working on my next video," but where the problem differs is that instead of overworking, I end up procrastinating because I'm easily distracted, which is weird, because I even think about wanting to work on my next video while being distracted, which feels like it shouldn't be possible.

Love these videos! I totally relate to the sleep issue, my bf isn’t afraid of needles but every time he gets poked he nearly faints.!
It sucks to be afraid of needles. I have to get my blood drawn at least once a year for medical things, and the best way to deal with it is to not look at it, ask them to not count down so you’re not ready for it(seems counterproductive but it works for me) and take a big breath before you get it drawn. Breathe out slowly while your blood is being drawn. This signals to your brain that you aren’t in a high stress situation, so it can also slow your heartbeat down to a normal speed and prevent you from panicking.
Btw, if these don’t work for you, then that’s fine. These are just ways I deal with it.

legit good advice. my father is a doc and told me that this is how he handles people that are afraid of needles... instead of couting down, he makes conversation, asks them a question, and while they are answering, puts the needle in. he claims it works pretty well.

The 8th grade will forever stick out to me as the most stressful year of my life. At the time, I was attempting to get a jumpstart on some Highschool classes, and my workload for two different schools was almost unmanageable. I was having stress breakdowns every month or so, and almost every single weekend was entirely filled up with extra homework. In a way, it was a blessing, because now that I have grown many years beyond that, I'm able to manage my time like a boss.
school in a nutshell:
teacher: kids need 8-10 hours of sleep! now do a 50 page essay that's due tomorrow

its always the thing when you aren't finished and try to get some sleep, you could be working and getting closer and maybe eeve finish it instead of sleeping. its my worst enemy
Honestly, the hard part is overthinking the videos you create as an animator, especially when you want to upload regularly, but at the same time, you want to show people something high quality. The problem is especially in the beginning it's hard to balance between high quality and uploading regularly. The solution I see that improving the quality a little bit of every video we make instead of just focusing on making something super quality at one time. Thank you for this video, at least I know I am not the only one dealing with this problem 🫥

3:40 same for me I just think about creepy and scary things,and I try to stop it by just thinking about what video I should make next but it doesn’t work
I have the same feeling of feeling like I have to improve at any given second of my life. But mine is a bit worse I think, and sad. I do feel the need to improve and study all the time, but most of the time I don't even do it. I've had productivity cycles my whole life. I might become very productive and consistent with my studies for a month, but then I'll burn out and go into a phase in which I almost don't do anything. Not even self care. And then after experiencing a burst of motivation, I always go back into the study phase once again. This has been cycling throughout my whole life. The very sad part is that even though I always feel the need to study, I can't always make myself study. It's not like I study a lot. A productive day for me is an average of 2 hours of studying per day. When I'm not studying I do things which I enjoy such as games, series, talking with friends, and just wandering around. But these activities I like doing are not very enjoyable when I haven't studied before doing them. My brain knows that I have to do my responsibilities before I do my hobbies. It's trying to help me have a nice life by constantly pushing me to try to make me start studying. But It's very hard to listen. I know that I'll be happy as it gets if I just have a consistent productivity, not just a phase. And if I can achieve that, I'll be able to fully enjoy my hobbies as well, and just feel great. I wanted to write this because I related to you on this video, even though our experiences are a little different since I never could make myself study consistently or for long hours. But I had the same feeling and urge.
The animation is very pretty, nice and bouncy and lively. It really brings chip to life. I cant imagine how long that took to make though.
The bounces are made with keyframes and all of her character’s positions uses the same animated transition between each other making lip syncing the biggest focus.

See, I have the opposite problem, I procrastinate, like ALL THE TIME.
I have a video that’s deadline is the 8th, and I haven’t even started working on it!
And the left side of my brain wants start now, but then the right side, the *dominant* side, is just like: “No, you can do it later! Four days is plenty of time, you finished the last deadline video in three!” AND IT’S SO ANNOYING!!!!
