No, It's not "click bait" when you say you are going to rant and then actually rant about a crap product. I respect a legit, real rant. I hate when folks "claim" they are going to rant for views and then end up praising the product. Nope, this video is the real deal. Respect the opinion. Stay smokey!
Im a presenter myself big Mike's pipes and blends.I've never bought one of those crown pipes I've seen them on pipes and cigars. Your absolutely right and spot on about Dr Grabow I own two Grabows and they are great! My dad always smoked grabow's and Prince Albert that's it nothing else. Have a good day brother from Kentucky!
I have a couple dr grabow estate pipes, they are great, but yiu have to look for a stinger or screw on stem, me parsonally I dont like those with those in them .
@@WoodBilly53 thanks for coming by. Mine are are not screw on stems, their a bit newer. I can relate though I’ve never liked a stinger, nor do I use filters. Thanks for commenting 😎
I have one of those pipes never had an issue with it. I did notice that the lacquer does get into the bowl I guess because they are mass produced. What I did was use sandpaper in the bowl and cleared it out, Grabows are excellebt pipes
I bought a few Crown pipes a year or so ago, I found that the paint taste comes from varnish inside the bowl. Out of the three I have I only use one frequently and it's a decent smoker for what it is. It did take some work to get it there. There is definitely a quality control issue with the brand and you definitely get what you pay for.
I have 3 Crown pipes from P&C. They were ok smokers but no "paint" taste on the ones I got. But, the stems developed cracks shortly after purchasing. In fact one came apart in pieces. I'll never buy another. Go with Dr. Grabow for sure if you want to save a buck.
I have been looking at Crown Pipes for a while and have been interested, I probably won't be taking a chance on these pipes. I'll stick with the Morgan Bones, Dagner cwa's , and if I can swing it another restored pipe from Paul Gilson and maybe another cob or two . Thankyou for the heads up sir

Thankfully my worst pipe was a brand new Peterson 2023 St Nicholas that I bought for 10 bucks on eBay. Horrible stem alignment, and drilling, but I only paid 10 and not that whopping full price.
I had 2 new Vikings like that, all from P&C. I don't buy much of anything from them now. Although I am a giant cob-vocate , Morgan bones are a great low cost briar I recommend for sure.
@@SmokeSnacks sorry you had that experience, but at the same time I’m glad to know it’s not just me. lol… cob-vocate, nice. Yes, I’ve heard alot about Morgan bones. I gotta get me one

@@HNXMedia thank you sir !
15 years of pipe smoking, I use grabow and medico pipes . The filter keeps the stem dry and they are durable and last forever. And the price is fair.

Wow! That’s unfortunate man. Yep, hard to go wrong with a grabow
Yeah, probably some real reasons why it’s bad. Takes a lot of learning to figure them all out. I’d give up on it😆
@@SmokingCardboard 😂 pretty much. This pipe became a decoration
i have mostly Dr Grabow and Willard pipes, reliable easy smokers.

Yea, I think I might call. Maybe they will help me out. It might just need a really good cleaning. That might help with the taste at least.
