I just found your channel and have been binging some of your past content. I have been enjoying the long form talks on these classic modules.

I'm glad to have you. There's a decent back library now!

You can tell this was an early TSR production - in that it used an amazing setting as a one shot product with no box set, splash books or further development of the Clarke Ashton Smith milieu. I remember running this over a couple of terms at primary school in the early 1980 and we enjoyed it, I still have my school exercise book with the notes I wrote to flesh it out.

If WOTC wasn't so restrictive on its edition licensing, you could see a fan reboot of this (could be done under the Fan Content License still). As it is, really it only needs 6-10 pages and a proper edit to make it exceptional.

This adventure is fantastic. It takes some work on the DMs part, but it has so much potential for adventures far beyond the scope of the short page count. The Kingdom of Ghouls, Averoigne, etc

I think that, and the richness of individual encounters, are what make this good despite the problems.

@@OwenEdwardsBooks I'm actually going to run this one for my family, it has a very nice fairy tale feel to it.

@@midnightgreen8319 my "mixed age" game uses Chris Perkins adventures from Dungeon and the PC series for BECMI, lots of fairy tale stuff there
