That town hall meeting felt almost like something out of South Park
People are getting outside, exercising, and socializing. It sounds like a good thing to me, but that is just my opinion.
Do it in your backyard, this game was developed for exactly that
I'm struggling to understand the controversy. I find it hard to believe pickleball is so popular that tennis courts across America are being converted into pickleball courts
Believe it.
And even if they are they should be converted because most of the time those tennis courts are empty
Tennis definitely has some elitist like people who participate within the sport. They think joining a country club will keep the peasants away
That's literally what's happened lol. "I find it hard to believe something which isn't at all hard to believe" - why?
How is it hard to believe? All the parks near me are doing it cause it's more popular than tennis
It's extremely annoying noise, ridiculous there should be a limited hour. Not past 7 pm not before 11 am
Racquet elbow will become a big problem in the near future.
It is incredibly immature to be irratated by a sport, whatever it is. The people who are really annoy me. It is infuriating 😡
I would not want that noise coming in my house.
@@makeracistsafraidagainJust proved the point.😂
@@makeracistsafraidagain just get over it. It's not loud. Seems are fairly pleasant, gentle noise to me.
People look for the dumbest things to be upset about. Pickleball is annoying now?
basically ppl who aren't good enough for tennis, dont want to play table tennis or badminton. like jesus Christ those courts were made for tennis, u want pickleball then make more courts.
Bulshit game they still tennis courts go make your own courts the most boring sport ever
Why the hell is it called pickle ball??
Cornhole was already taken
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 LMAO
The origin of the name comes from "pickle boats", usually, in boat racing, the people who don't get picked for a team, or just straight up suck, can also form their own team. A cobbled-together mashup of junk, to put it impolitely, although it's often said those boats have the most fun. And so the creator, on making a game from a mashup of other games and influences, used "pickle boat" as inspiration for the name. Stuff that no one thought would be fun, mixed up, ended up having the most fun. Except it's not a boat anymore, it's a player with a ball. Hence Pickleball.
@@Knox-umbra Thanks
@sj644 explained well.
Playing the sports on a Nintendo switch is more of a sport than this.
Sounds so soothing I’m falling asleep
Where did the stupid name for this stupid game come from?
Why is it that ever sport we've never heard of is always the fastest growing sport?
There's an untold story about how pickleball is heavily favored for park improvements in cities lacking investment because of its whiter and better-connected community. This is in contrast to other park improvements, such as mini soccer pitches, which are more popular with a more diverse and younger demographic.
The delay in satisfying soccer-hungry taxpayers for the infrastructure they deserve to grow the passion for their favorite sport is perhaps the most significant recreational injustice in the USA.
If people enjoy it and it’s any form of exercise then I have no issue with it. Noise issues can be worked out with time constraints, indoor play, different materials for the paddles or ball. I play tennis and Tennis courts where I live in LA are 70% percent of the time empty and only busy in the afternoon. I don’t see why it’s an issue for both sports to share a court at different times. I’d understand if tennis was so popular in America but it’s not. It’s barely in the top 10 if that.
I can see Bolt on a pickleball court.
is it called pickleball coz guys who play this are old enough to have pickled balls ?
At least people are moving
It’s a silly game, not a sport.
So was every sport at one point.
@@Riserm4n Nah!
Tennis pros are paid to promote pickle ball
Here in the triad nc, its easy pulling single moms playing pickle ball, its like fishing with dynamite
😂
I never heard of it.
Is it worse than those street basketball nets?
Useless reporting!
If the best players are old Boomers, then it's not a real sport.
get a job
Profoundly irritating and mediocre practice (not a sport)!😂
