bro thank you! I just started and looked at like 30 vids before this one. thanks for keeping it simple!
Dope. I’ve been looking for a video like this, being in my first year and all
Thank you very much man
I would love to know why people dislike videos like this. Is it because of the rain drop sounds? Seriously??
People will dislike videos about anything it’s whatever haha
It's because he's bundled up like it's -20° out and because he has shades on his hat in the rain. Thumbs way down 👎👎
Jk jk lol
@@ramblin_man23 I mean it’s was a little chilly that day hahah
How do you come up with estimates? Do you estimate how long it will take you to finsish the job then charge an hourly rate? If so do you mind me asking what is your hourly rate?New to this! And hopefully can start doing side jobs. Thanks for the video
I always just charged by the yard so let’s say it’s 5 yards of brown dye mulch it’s $70 per yard so job total would be $350 for just the mulch install if you need to prep the beds or edge them then it’s your hourly price so say $45/hr x 2hrs of prep= $90 + $350=$440
Thanks for this vid. Finally a vid I can understand! Showing the landscape calculator was very helpful. Great job. :-)
Great video, straight to the point and had lots of very good info! Nice hack on the landscape calculator, makes it a lot easier. I paid the 20 bucks to have access to all the tools of that site and it really earns it's keep!
Do you use bed liner/cover for weeds or just weed out the bed and mulch the bare ground?
Nice n simple. Easy money making tip.
How much do you charge for edging?
Great video thank you 🙏🏼
Very helpful video! Thank you.
Very good helpful video! How much do you pay for a yard of mulch and how much do you charge the customer if you can tell! Thanks!
I buy it for $24-28.50 a yard and charge $80 a yard. Bagged mulch I generally charge by per man hour as there’s more labor plus disposal fees for all the empty bags
We charge $110/yard. Don't undercharge.
Considering this video is 4 years old yeah $110/yard is about right now for current times!
GREAT VIDEO! THANK YOU! I am planning my own custom sheet like this for each task I offer (mulching, fencing, custom walls etc.) to remember style, dimensions etc.
Yes sir the best forms out there are the ones that you come up with that fit you!!
How much was that job in total
That is a great system that have to keep track of how much mulch you would need. I differently need to create a mulch checklist like yours. Thanks for your hard work.
Need 2.2y of mulch? Bill the customer for 3! Great stuff.
Bill for 4.4. Always double the order. That way it pays for the next job too.
How do you price for labor?
Thank You
So I’m confused where did you get the second numbers from ?
1st number is the length 2nd is width
What does the edging mean?
Thanks for the reply. So, what is your formula for pricing edging, like for the 52 ft in that estimate?
What a rip-off
thanks ryan you help me a lot with this video
How much did you charge for a edging
Thank u for this teaching. Very helpful. God bless u🙏
This proves to me that my landscaper (who I got rid of) screwed me over for 2 years.
Why don’t this video have way more views perfect explanation
That custom sheet was Gold!!!
I'm learning, is it the same for a circle? Thanks
Very helpful video! This was great. Thank you
Thanks for the video. God bless!
How much for labor?
Right to the point. I liked this video the best out of many others I've watched.
Thank you very much, it help me a lot
What do you all mean great video, he never gave a price break down of mulch or edging. This should kinda be part of the video to make it a good video. Otherwise thank you.
No not at all because you might make less then me and still be profitable or a much larger business might have to make twice of what I charge to break even your own numbers are for you to figure out
Thx brother
Yo thanks man
That's helpful I just Sub to your channel how much to charge
I charge per the yard that number all depends on your area and how much you are buying your mulch for!
What's an average price to charge for edging?
Google huh? Can google mulch?
Awesome video. Thanks for helpful info!
Happy to know that calculator was the same as my result. L x W x D / 324
Same formula I've used for 30 plus years
Thanks man! Great vid for us newbies.
Thank you👍
Awesome video man!! Really explained it well
Thanks man. I apperciate the straightforwardness of your videos. I've seen your videos where you have the pen and paper routing sheets, ect. Do you use any software in addition for your business?
Mainly Quickbooks it works the best for me accounting wise.
Great vid but how much do you charge? Per yard? Etc
Any dyed stuff was $70/yard hemlock and cedar $90/yard
Helpful video 👍
So I have a 100’ by 55’ wide do I multiply those two ?
Yes
thank you for sharing
Thank you sir.
Thanks Ryan.
No problem man!!!!
I need a 36 walk behind do you know anyone getting rid of one ?
Not off hand
Great work Sir!
Very helpful
Thanks for the vid! How to you price to edge the beds?
N Ryan I charge $1 per linear foot. So I would charge $52 for that job. How about everyone else.
U use spade?
One thing is for the new guys weeding the beds is not included in the mulching price unless it is just a couple of weeds. just thought I would add that
Yes absolutely, I guess I kinda of left out the bed prep in that sense definitely charge to weed
Rufus LC I usually just spot spray for weeds if it’s not a lot of course. Then put down mulch. Easier than pulling weeds.
@@ryanslawnthings4743 Does $150 per yard of mulch that is spread after basic clean up sound right?
Sounds high for the area I am in but it might be possible for the right customer
How much you charge the clients?
$340
Why do you charge per square ft
I don’t I charge per yard installed but need the square footage to determine how many yards I will need
Are you running multiple crews?
It’s always been me and 1-2 employees however this year I’m going to try out sending 2 guys to go mowing and me and 1 or more guys to go and do construction, mulch, pruning etc...
Really helpful, I am going to compare purchasing the number of bags with having a company deliver what we need. I am also taking into consideration the fact that if we order a truck delivery, , we'll need to transfer what we need to different parts of the house, like the backyard, which has 3 different locations, etc
Thanks Ryan. Why don't you just charge 1 price to edge mulch and remove weeds?
Because not every place needs or wants edging or have any weeds to deal with every job is basically a little different
Got my wheel at HF thanks for the video bro!!
Awesome man I use mine for everything lol
