When we were visiting the national park on Kona, the had a display also showing Mt. St Helen's and it said it was in Oregon 😳. This is a natural park. We have friends that moved from Hawaii once they had children, because they said the public schools are horrible. Well after seeing that from the government, I agree.

Hawai is perhaps the most dangerous place in the planet.. where witnessing a lava flow and eruption is like a daily routine.. my gad
The USGA isn't determining anything that prevents eruptions. As for predicting them, its the same. Even a lay person can see a volcano that is becoming active, with the exception of a Geiger counter which the USGA can see moments before an eruption that the public can't see.
1:43-1:49 gave me anxiety...😒... what if someone steps on lava thinking that it has cooled down from above.. but its NOT .. and breaks suddenly from that spot pushing that person directly into lava just like in a quicksand...😒

The Kilauea eruption that started in 1983 finally ended in 2018. This means that, for the first time in over 30 years, there's no vog (volcanic smog), which means the air is clear.
Except for the chemtrails of course!
A must watch for all those critics of the scientists working on the recent, 2018 eruption.

So if the island is formed from volcanic eruption then how can a plant grow from there?
Lava cools. Wind and rain breaks the lava down to soil. Roots of small plants break it down further, then larger plants and so on. Lava soil is full of minerals, so it's very rich. Of course it takes time time time, but eventually you have forests.

Everything is relative. Mauna Loa being next to, but a separate volcano from Kilauea. Last time it erupted was 1984. Thanks for watching.

except Hawaii is not part of the ring of fire........it's in the middle of it.....and it is separate from the ring of fire.....It was formed from a hot spot called a mantle plume.....the ring of fire it was made from subduction zones from plate tectonics where plates are pushed underneath each other.

Not nearly enough gas is produced. In its heyday, Pu'u O'o made 12,000 tons of sulfur dioxide per day. Made Kona sometimes pretty voggy.
Because you notice how slow it moves in the summer they can't get obsidian to run like a river in the winter very easily

Steady flow forn20 years? So I dont get it. When will it empty. There only so much land in the first place. Imagin driving for 20 years and not stopping?so much matter coming out so everywhere else is just being smooshed by gravity so it keeps it in a cycle ? Then why isnt is smoothing us? Humans matter is strong enough to almost completely ignore the force. Make no sense.

The Big Island of Hawaii. It is always changing but Kilauea is the youngest of the 5 volcanoes that have made the Big Island. A little over a million years ago the Big Island was below sea level.
