I just love watching ya’ll! I share these with my Hubby. After some health scares, we have been trying to find something to do, a new hobby, to get us outdoors more. Metal Detecting was my suggestion. 😉 He is getting more on board with every video of yours I share 🤭👍 If it were up to me, I’d be Fishing AND Digging😍 Thanks for another great video!
He should do it! It's a great time, pretty easy on the body if your knees and arm/shoulder areas are in ok shape. I've got back issues and still manage to get out for 8 hour stretches at times.
Have not missed a week in years. Miss and pray for Billy, wish Muck would show his face, Brad needs to get more time out, and Kurt is the Captain of dedication! Love you guys!
Hey Curt. The item in the top left corner of your board at 17:37 in the video looks to be a piece of a broken sideplate from a Kentucky style long rifle. Just has the longer portion with the other screw hole broke off. Would have been on the stock for support on the opposite side from the lock and hammer assembly! Nice finds!
I had to do a clean out for a customer last year and I found a complete set of lawn darts with the rings. Needless to say I kept them for my childhood nostalgia.
I also was thinking the shield buckles are military. My only reference is old western movies. Unfortunately that is a wishy washy standard for accuracy.
Cool relic finds to start out the year! That apothecary tray weight is a very choice pickup, as well as those "shield" buckles! "Cheers" to the new year!
I have been watching you for a long time and love going back and watching your old videos from 2014 and on. I have to imagine your collection is worth over 100k but know you would never sell any of them. I have been swinging for 10 years and my white whale is a liberty cap large cent. I am sure being around your area helps alot in finding some of your best finds. Maybe someday I will find that illusive coin
Still a Great Hunt Kurt. Love the 2 Buckles and weight piece you found. Muck the Gold Guilted Button is Beautiful. Congrats on all the Coppers and Relics you found. Take Care
Not a bad bunch of finds at all! I'd never seen a shield-shaped buckle, then you go and dig 2- very cool. Big stuff, silver and plenty of buttons- equals successful trip to me!
Ahh....Jarts. Bet you had some Clacker Balls, too. 😎 Bruised my forearms more than once with those, but never started any lawn or brush fires, fortunately. 😆
Those shield buckles were pretty cool. Never seen them before. Not a good start to the '24 season, but not a bad one, either. Thanks for sharing your adventure and I'll see you next episode. 👍
The coin weight is a 5 penny weight piece (the number of annulets on its face). Once clean check for a royal cypher or markings identifying where it was made (likely Georgian or Victorian).
Hello HB, great finds! Keep up the good work and vids!!! Hey y'all, evidently there's a new term for a Nun riding a bicycle, any guesses? Well it's "Virgin Mobile"!😊 Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 🙏😇👊
@@thehooverboys yes I remember, but I bet there's more somewhere. That place is huge 😀. I'm looking forward to seeing what yall find at the maravedis spot this year!
I'm not a hunter, so maybe this is a dumb question, but is it normal for an antler to be a straight shot like that without any extra points? It looks really weird like that,,,
How is Billy doing? Getting better we all hope? Prayers!!

Kurt you and Jason Quarter Hoarder ought to do a special hunt together and put it on YT. His crew and your crew would be a great video!!
Quarter hoarders great
We've hunted together a few times

Cool shield shaped buckles...not a bad hunt...👍
I literally just cleaned one of my buttons this week with the same back mark! Ives Scott & Co dates to 1834-36👍🏼🙂
that gold gilded button was fancy nice ! always just good to get out and dig but yeah i try to stay out of the wind as well lol 🤙🏴☠️
Not a bad start to the new season, great hunt guys!
Great finds guys, glad to see one of my favorite diggers swinging a Legend!
Let’s go let’s go treasure and adventure ✌️👵🌺🌎💕🇺🇸🎉
That's called a shield buckle, and are early. Not sure if they're military related or not. I only ever found them at early sites.
I also was thinking the shield buckles are military. My only reference is old western movies. Unfortunately that is a wishy washy standard for accuracy.
I didn't find any in my buckle book. Didn't look in any of my civil war books. I should have
Those could very possibly been on a leather messenger bag or satchel.
Cool finds fellas ,yep lawn darts not good!
Happy V day Hoover family!
Not a bad start to the season.

Not a bad day in the field guys

That was a great hunt with all things considered. See you next week.

Nice button! Ives, Scott & Company, Waterbury Connecticut, operated 1834 to 1836
I love those shield/badge buckles. Horse headstall, maybe? Great hunt!
The piece of brass that Muck found with the raised circle in the middle is 1/2 of a saddle bag latch.
Good morning from Shreveport
Nice full board, you guys did ok,
Good hunt assortment of finds, I enjoyed it. 🇺🇸
Yes, shield buckle like Captain America’s first shield. Awesome.
Way to keep grinding Kurt Love your show brother
Nice finds Guys 👊
I would be happy with the things you find
The one piece is part of a broken Brown Bess side plate. Thats a cool find.
Still a Great Hunt Kurt. Love the 2 Buckles and weight piece you found. Muck the Gold Guilted Button is Beautiful. Congrats on all the Coppers and Relics you found. Take Care
Hi the Hoover boy's
Awesome stuff guys!!
Happy valentines day HOOOVERBOYZZZZZ!
Nice button!
I liked the toy car. 😊
Well done guys!! From a guy in Kansas City, MO!
Not a bad bunch of finds at all! I'd never seen a shield-shaped buckle, then you go and dig 2- very cool. Big stuff, silver and plenty of buttons- equals successful trip to me!
That badge shaped item you found looks like a sadle shield, just a little smaller than most.
Attaboy guys.
A nasty day with a silvere lining. You all worked hard for those goodies. I swear your copper almost looks like it has a matron head bust. Thanks!
Shanks for another great video ❤
Jarts...what could go wrong !
Pretty cool buttons. You will have to let us know what those 2 buckles are that you found. Have a great day and happy digging
Ahh....Jarts. Bet you had some Clacker Balls, too. 😎 Bruised my forearms more than once with those, but never started any lawn or brush fires, fortunately. 😆

17:13 pistol butt cap above the D buckle??? 😮
Your wrap up video shows an image on your copper. Possibly a matron head.
Yup. I noticed that too
The coin weight is a 5 penny weight piece (the number of annulets on its face). Once clean check for a royal cypher or markings identifying where it was made (likely Georgian or Victorian).
The shield buckles that I've seen are all saddle buckles from the civil war era.
Glad to see ya got out to do some digging kurt, congrats on the cop! ✊ "Looked like a matron in the wrap up"
Yup! Thanks
👍👍👍
Love to see your finds but also love to see you medal dejecting also!
Under a hundred views. I must love this channel lol
I wish I could get as excited about coppers lol silver and gold get me excited most of the coppers are wiped!
WHY HASN'T (NOTKA), LEGEND ASKED YOU TO BECOME A SPONSOR YET!!!????? COME ON NOTKA!!!!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen it that windy while you’ve been detecting.
I found a lightening rod tip with a patent from 1850 on it.
Hello HB, great finds! Keep up the good work and vids!!! Hey y'all, evidently there's a new term for a Nun riding a bicycle, any guesses? Well it's "Virgin Mobile"!😊 Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 🙏😇👊

That antler looks like half the deer’s brain came out with it
If crab grass was called angle grass everyone would have it
Man you can see the grass whipping around like that and hear the wind howl wow its a blowin, cold front blowing thru?
Good Vidayooo! They can't all be killers lol. There's gotta be a reale somewhere in that field ...
We found 2 our first visit
@@thehooverboys yes I remember, but I bet there's more somewhere. That place is huge 😀. I'm looking forward to seeing what yall find at the maravedis spot this year!
👍👍👍😁
♥
Maybe a boy scout cap buckle/badge
0 like, good morning hoover boys, love your videos
shield buckles dated 1700-1800
I'm wondering if those little Shield shape buckles are from a pair of women's shoes that have little straps on them. That's what they look like to me
Planted targets..
Kurt 🙂 the Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo do you still have it.
Yes sir
On the wrapup it looks like Kurt's copper is a Matron. Anyone else see the head facing left?
Yeah, I saw that too
I wonder if Kurt is having issues with the accupoint?
That 41 coin is my birth yr. so it has to be good
I'm not a hunter, so maybe this is a dumb question, but is it normal for an antler to be a straight shot like that without any extra points? It looks really weird like that,,,
I have a wound from Lawn Jarts.
What does woooo! 44 ladies that’s me mean
