You made that look easy. I got concerned for you when you said it was filled with oil and I saw those sparks flying. Don't you just hate that when you get ready to do some editing and you realize the camera shut down half way through shooting. Still came out great my friend GD
Thank you! It would take a constant flow of sparks to catch the oil on fire, more than likely will just smoke. It is frustrating, but I was able to make a video still lol, which I was thankful for. Thank you for watching buddy!
That oil has no more chance of catching fire from being cut open than petrol igniting by looking at it. Use an oxy set if you like, it will only ignite if you get it boiling properly.
Someone on another channel said the sticker or color of the sticker on the outside determines if the inside is copper or copper coated aluminum. Not sure if that's true in all cases but maybe a video in the future to see if that's true. Wouldn't go through all that for copper coated ones.
It all adds up. Collect enough scrap and you can get a nice pay day. I like to save up my scrap metal for the bigger paydays. I'll usually treat myself to breakfast then the rest of the cash goes towards our only credit card payment.

I scrapped a residential sealed unit today, weighed in around 60+ lbs., and I was wondering if you could reccommend a quality cutting disc. I went through almost 7 discs on that unit. They were from Harbor freight. Thank you for all you do! GOD BLESS YOU!
I scrap these all the time! I pay 25c a pound for all sealed units. And use basically the same method for cutting them open. The only thing I do different is I cut one end of the stator and just pull the rest through the bottom. It's always interesting to see how other people break these down.
Thank you! Not from what I’ve learned and have seen. It’s a tiny amount of aluminum incased in steel. You could melt the aluminum from the steel but I don’t believe the effort would be worth it. It’s probably 5 cents in aluminum. Thank you for watching.

You made that look easy.
I got concerned for you when you said it was filled with oil and I saw those sparks flying.
Don't you just hate that when you get ready to do some editing and you realize the camera shut down half way through shooting. Still came out great my friend
GD
Great stuff 👏
Thank you!
Thank you for the prayer and lesson on scrapping 😢❤ you will take your channel very far stay positive and work hard 👋✨

Yeah man those are those are good and totally worth it there's anything on the refrigerator that's worth it it's that or conditioner
Absolutely, especially for us hobby scrappers.
Thank you for watching my friend.
Someone on another channel said the sticker or color of the sticker on the outside determines if the inside is copper or copper coated aluminum. Not sure if that's true in all cases but maybe a video in the future to see if that's true. Wouldn't go through all that for copper coated ones.
Oh interesting, I’ll have to look for that next time I find one. Thank you for sharing that.
I can’t really tell. What color is the sticker?
Is that a white sticker? I can’t really see.
@@EricScrapping4Dinidog it’s a white sticker. I’m still trying to figure out if the labels mean anything.
Great video bud
Thank you buddy!
Good amigo
Thank you, friend!
Great video and # breakdown
Thank you buddy. Was cool seeing you last night during the live.
It all adds up. Collect enough scrap and you can get a nice pay day. I like to save up my scrap metal for the bigger paydays. I'll usually treat myself to breakfast then the rest of the cash goes towards our only credit card payment.
@@ofthewoods137 it sure does add up.
I haven’t sold copper of brass in two years. I should have a really nice payday.
It’s nice having some extra money to pay bills or something else.
Thank you for watching.
Sweet!
Thank you buddy!
I scrapped a residential sealed unit today, weighed in around 60+ lbs., and I was wondering if you could reccommend a quality cutting disc. I went through almost 7 discs on that unit. They were from Harbor freight. Thank you for all you do! GOD BLESS YOU!
Wow, that’s a big boy!
I use Go Yonder which I mentioned in the video.
God bless you too
That's a real Pro-Video
Thank you so much!
I like the hook blades but I like to use my rotary tool with a cut off wheel to cut the strings.
Ok cool, whatever gets them cut, right?
Thank you for watching.
I scrap these all the time! I pay 25c a pound for all sealed units. And use basically the same method for cutting them open. The only thing I do different is I cut one end of the stator and just pull the rest through the bottom. It's always interesting to see how other people break these down.
I typically cut stators in half with a machete, works incredibly well.
Thank you for watching.
good man. rare
I appreciate your kind words!

Thank you!
1:02 “make an incision here…”
Stay tuned for more scrap surgery!😂
I had that same thought when I was editing lol.
Thank you buddy for watching.
At 7:38 sometimes those are copper, or copper coated, never hurts to check, it’s not always 100% the case though but there’s a small chance
Thank you. Yeah I always try and check everything.
Thank you for watching
Good work sir
Is it possible to remove the aluminum parts of the two ends on the rotor ?
Thank you!
Not from what I’ve learned and have seen. It’s a tiny amount of aluminum incased in steel. You could melt the aluminum from the steel but I don’t believe the effort would be worth it. It’s probably 5 cents in aluminum.
Thank you for watching.
