Although I have made effort to be modest over the years, I always struggled with the idea and it felt more like a chore vs something you can find joy in. Through your modestly videos, my heart has opened up to how desirable and liberating modesty can be!

I *just* started going to church with my family ( my husband and kids would go but I had too much anxiety ) … I’ve been trying so hard to just go even if I feel uncomfortable, but dressing myself has been literally the worst lol I’m so lost at what to wear, and what is appropriate and modest, so this video is such a blessing right now ❤

It’s been hard finding modesty outfit vids that don’t look like granny clothes or they say they are modest but they are not actually. I know a lot of women out there might not like the word modesty or modest but we must remember that modest is a biblical word it is a word mentioned in the Bible, its easy to let other peoples opinions on words dictate how we feel about it but the Lord calls us to be modest. Yes!!! God spoke to me through your last video on modesty and it felt like confirmation for a conviction I was already feeling. As a mother of 3 and a wife and most importantly a woman of God I don’t want my body to be what people see as attractive, I want it to be my soul. I’ve found myself wearing dresses and skirts so much more this summer and it just brings out a different feeling of femininity. Modestly also gives me a creative outlet to be a bit more intentional with my clothing and take more time piecing things together that I like that work.
I've always believed in only wearing skirts and dresses, but I loved to see how you still dress more modestly than some do in skirts and tight dresses.

I am currently going through a more modest/humble wardrobe change! I've purchased high-waisted bermuda-style shorts and maxi spring/summer dresses. I wear more bodysuits and less crop tops. I live in FL so it gets HOT hot pretty much all year round, so sleeveless tops is a must for me! I'm finding that I feel more beautiful when I'm dressed modestly and intentionally.
My modesty journey as a new Christian has been understating not to stumble other men… especially who aren’t my husband! It’s been convicting, totally been through the same journey as you.
I don’t necessarily feel convicted to wear dresses for modesty because I feel like I always dress modest no matter what. But… recently I’ve just been more drawn to dresses because they are so comfortable and easy to wear especially cuz I’m pregnant and won’t have to buy new pants every month as my body grows and changes haha and two because as gender “norms” are changing in our culture it makes me feel happy and really feminine to wear modest dresses/skirts
I don't dress modestly for religious reasons, but for personal reasons, so I fully agree with all of your style choices, I have a very similar style as you and it's cool to see someone else dress like me! Sometimes I feel so old fashioned for not showing off all the goods!😅 There is a lot of pressure to dress sexy in our society and I really don't like it

I never used to be the “capsule wardrobe” kind of girl, I always followed trends and while I still like showing some skin, as I’ve gotten older I’ve realised that dressing modestly and classy is really where it’s at. I always wanted to be trends when I was younger, l wanted to wear what’s in. Now I just want good quality, basic outfits and I love it. Glad I’m done with that trendy phase

The Lord has been convicting me to dress more modestly lately. If I’m honest, it was through seeing your videos that I was first convicted. Also, you have a beautiful face and yes, you do exemplify and ooze the joy of The Lord. 💜
The square neck, cottage core-esque dresses just do it for me. I love them so much, and where them all the time. I also love silk skirts...they're the best (and always the perfect length) I love this video, and your non-legalistic approach to modesty. Once you have your sexy-bits covered (i.e. breast/cleavage and the bum) leave the rest to the holy spirit. For me, the Holy Spirit convicted me of wearing monogrammed name brand items. I feel like the whole purpose in them is to be boastful (why else would we want name brand labels ALL OVER US, if not to signal to others that the item is in fact name brand/expensive; the ultimate goal is humility. Modesty was not meant to be a form of bondage full of strict rules, and shame. The second it consumes us too much, something meant to honor God becomes an idol.
I just started watching Lydia tomlinson and she has what I would consider very modest classic minimal comfortable style. She’s amazing! Definitely recommend her! Love this video!

I can relate so much!! I have a very similar style. Love more pants and shorts than skirts or dresses, because I find them more comfortable 😊 as you I purchase multiples when I find a good clothing piece I love. Also I try to limit my decision, because it stresses me so much to pick an outfit haha😅 so I like to have a wardrobe in very natural colors. More colorful pieces will stress me more. Also I take pictures from my favorite combination and save them in my phone so I can go back in case I’m overwhelmed and don’t know what to wear😊 I guess my 3 words would be ‘monochrome’, ‘minimal’ and ‘comfortable’.

The closer I have become to the Lord on my walk with Him in my life the more I feel compelled to cover more and more. I am learning to have a sacred reverence for this body that God made in His image. I may not understand all the "whys" behind modesty - but I do benefit from many side affects of it. People focus more on the Godly parts of me - my smile, my words, my joy and less on the physical part of me. I have less social anxiety because I am so comfortable in my clothes and therefore my skin. I am less vain, I care more about God's desires than my own. I feel even less temptation to sin than ever before. Modesty has been such a lovely journey. I'm also enjoying exploring simplicity, capsule wardrobes, and religious modest dress from around the world. Thank you for your example! I love seeing your videos pop up and always confirming what the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me.

99% of the time I am wearing a dress or skirt! Dresses are just so easy and comfortable. I got rid of all my jeans a year ago and I don't miss them!

I love dresses but as a mom of 4 almost 5 it is so much more convenient to not have to think about matching. So when people point out how I wear dresses I say, it’s convenient not conviction. 😂

Rewatching this again and now a new mom. Do you think you could do modest outfits for nursing moms? I love the dress looks and I’ve tried to find skirts but would love some more ideas
I can relate so much!! I have a very similar style. Love more pants and shorts than skirts or dresses, because I find them more comfortable 😊 as you I purchase multiples when I find a good clothing piece I love. Also I try to limit my decision, because it stresses me so much to pick an outfit haha😅 so I like to have a wardrobe in very natural colors. More colorful pieces will stress me more. Also I take pictures from my favorite combination and save them in my phone so I can go back in case I’m overwhelmed and don’t know what to wear😊
I guess my 3 words would be ‘monochrome’, ‘minimal’ and ‘comfortable’.

The closer I have become to the Lord on my walk with Him in my life the more I feel compelled to cover more and more. I am learning to have a sacred reverence for this body that God made in His image. I may not understand all the "whys" behind modesty - but I do benefit from many side affects of it. People focus more on the Godly parts of me - my smile, my words, my joy and less on the physical part of me. I have less social anxiety because I am so comfortable in my clothes and therefore my skin. I am less vain, I care more about God's desires than my own. I feel even less temptation to sin than ever before. Modesty has been such a lovely journey. I'm also enjoying exploring simplicity, capsule wardrobes, and religious modest dress from around the world. Thank you for your example! I love seeing your videos pop up and always confirming what the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me.
