The meaning of Euclid is a direct copy of one’s self, but making different choices to become who you are… somewhere in the ethereal of different fabrics of space and time, Vessel made the choices we are hearing about in Sundowning, TPWBYT, and TMBTE…. In a different world than what we are experiencing he made different choices, and it could have been that Vessel and Sleep worked out instead of being toxic towards each other, or maybe Vessel never met Sleep to begin with… The concept behind Sleep Token, and the way the trilogy plays out, is basically a master-class in writing, but done in the form of albums, rather than books… And it is glorious… 🖤 Worship! 🖤

This song hits all the harder on multiple plays, realizing that the music is so polar oppisite of the message because he is looking at himself and wanting to feel a certain way. There is a feeling that something is missing and the want to change in the words reflected in the music. There is almost an incomplete melody that keeps changing. So powerful, Vessel knows how to draw you in.
As a person who suffers, and is recovering from, depression I can say there's a moment in the healing journey when you really wish things to be different, i mean, you always want to, but in the dark moments is to cease to exist, when you're getting better is to change, to be someone new, to be allowed to feel better and the melody here represents, in my opinion, what that moment of awareness actually means, after all is the beginning of the process of wanting to live again after wishing for a long time to be dead and that moment is for sure a happy one, it represented to me a sunrise after a moonless night. My therapist told me once that the fact that there’s the desire to be better is a signal of good things coming so yeah this song is that, sad as depression and happy as an awakening all at the same time.

I love that this song can either be about someone's own self-loathing or their failed relationship where two people wish they still had that spark, but are maybe now just going through the motions. Lyrically, this song hits so close to me on both fronts. Almost a year ago now, I broke up with my girlfriend of seven years probably two years later than I should've. Both of us were staying together out of habit. Some of these lines--"I would turn into a stranger in an instant if I could" / "Maybe not that you conceal your feelings, they just don't exist" / "I cannot hope to give you what I cannot give myself"--hit me so raw to the point where this song has literally made me start bawling after. Vessel has such a wonderful way of putting certain things into words that you yourself can't quite. God, this song is a freaking masterpiece. As always, Sleep Token songs can be interpreted in so many ways. BUT. I have a really powerful take on DYWTYLM. If you know anything about masking, particularly in the context of someone who has ADHD/Autism, and/or any crippling/disabling mental health issue, this song is literally IT. The disconnect between the intense lyrics and the peppy music. The autotune on his usually raw and fantastic voice, hiding his true sound/feelings (masking it, in essence). Even the lyrics themselves ask "Do you pull at the chains" - do you go against the grain and defy the way society defines your worth by your productivity? "Or do you push into constant aching" - Or do you push yourself past your limits and cause yourself pain just to get by. "My reflection just won't smile back at me the way I know it should" "I would turn into a stranger in an instant if I could" "Do you ever believe we can turn into different people." All of these lyrics are so much deeper than they sound, and they all are something I can relate heavily to as a late-diagnosed Autist with ADHD, going through the unmasking process right now. And the whole while, doing all that, while sounding like a superficial upbeat pop groove... SO. GOOD. Whatever the actual meaning of this song is, Vessel is a freaking genius and Sleep Token is my favorite band of all time. No music has ever impacted me the way theirs does.

Having heard this song live I can say it so emotional I literally cried hahahaha. One of the best bands I have seen live as they sound exactly like they do over speakers, and they know how to bring you in and have a party while balling your eyes out from the emotions that they bring out.
I liked this song, but was more focused on others. I knew it was Vessel speaking to himself. My husband was abused as a child, so grew up unloved by others, so never learned to truly love himself (he's working on it). When he told me this is one of the songs he relates to and has teared up to, I actively listened. It kills me every time, now.
I'm hoping they release a live version of it at some point, cause there's no auto tune effects on his voice and it makes it sooooo much more raw. I get the voice effects though, he aimed for sounding robotic which fits the lyrics.
So many fans have hated on this song....but my god the lyrics get me every time. Yes, there isn't this signature huge drop with guitars in the beat or change in the style during the song.....but it makes the words he is saying stand out. The words become that much more important. I love this song, a lot of people don’t in this album but it’s so raw and deep. If you really want your feelings hurt after you’re done with the album do Blood sport from the room below specifically. It’s vessel singing live over nothing but a piano and it hurts so good.
I think all songs on the Album are mazing. Not everyone of those fits in my everyday Playlist tho. Also I can't deny that those more "tame" songs hit right in the Feelings and are lyrical wise among the best on the Release.
This song is so amazing. The build up and swell then ebbing and flowing of the music/beat paired with the vocals and lyrics, then he goes into this staccato verse, it’s all just so good. A lot of their music has this flow to it that reminds me of polyphias song structures.
I didnt enjoy the surface happy feels of this, but when looking at it deeper from the perspective of self critism in a mirror, its a tale of lying to yourself, biting your lip and pretending your something youre not. So now i appreciate it a whole new way.

When you think, you're listening to a happy easy Pop song, but it's Sleep Token. Its underrated but it shows those guys can do everything, but always with their special twist on it.
This song always makes me emotional because the first time I heard it, it felt so much like how I see my mom. It gives words to the unhealed child in me who wishes my mom would see me, be proud of me, smile at me and love me. I used to wish I could change who I was to get that from her.

9:48 I think it happens more often than people think. A lot of relationships are formed around initial physical attraction, convenience, immense loneliness, shared suffering etc. People get into relationships for a myriad of reasons and sadly all to often none of those reasons are actual love. I know I’ve fell into relationships where circumstances forced me into close proximity with a person for a long time and a relationship just happens to form when spending that much time with a person, and while some care and affection might exist, neither of us where actually in love, and I’ve found my myself asking the same question, but even more often asking myself that question. Do I wish that I loved someone enough to stay with them, and that is a very hard question to answer.

Being at The Masonic Temple in Detroit (largest masonic temple in the world!) in September 2023, with around 6,000 people all singing the same songs was like nothing I've ever experienced before, I'll never forget it and I'm STILL feeling it now. You guys gotta make it to a show together! Worship!

If you guys are going to go through all of sleep tokens songs leave euclid last it has connection to old songs. It will have a lot more meaning if you leave it for the last song
One of the things about Sleep Token's lyrics is that they can be very direct ("Are You Really Okay") but others can have multiple interpretations. This is one of those songs. When I first heard it, I thought he was singing about unrequited love; this person he's singing to isn't returning the love he has for them. And sure that works and fits the larger narrative and story arc of the last three albums. But then one time, I'm listening to this and I realize it works equally as well as a song about him looking in a mirror ("...and my reflection just won't smile back at me like I know it should...") and singing about a loss of love for himself.
I don’t know what is next on your guys’ list for take me back to Eden reactions, all I know is Euclid NEEDS to be last. That song really ties the entirety of the album together, and I think you guys would really appreciate it. I might even request listening to their song “The Night Does Not Belong to God” off of their first album before you listen to Euclid. Sleep tokens music is just such a powerful journey

So, speaking on the divide between the music and lyrics: Sleep token does something very well. Every single song on this album has a feeling of ethereal yearning to it. Sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's angry, sometimes it's reflective, sometimes it's horny. But every song just exudes that otherworldly yearning that has been a fascination of mine since I was little.

DYWTYLM was the first song i heard from sleep token, after they had released TMBTE and made got me hooked on them and down the rabbit hole i went 😅 love the song but Rain and Euclid is my favourites from the album BUT i love the whole album and always listen to it from start to finish.

So many fans have hated on this song....but my god the lyrics get me every time. Yes, there isn't this signature huge drop with guitars in the beat or change in the style during the song.....but it makes the words he is saying stand out. The words become that much more important. I also love when the production kicks up and he starts speaking almost in syllables. So so gooooddddd. It's become one of my favorites of theirs!!!

I love this song, a lot of people don’t in this album but it’s so raw and deep. If you really want your feelings hurt after you’re done with the album do Blood sport from the room below specifically. It’s vessel singing live over nothing but a piano and it hurts so good.
I think all songs on the Album are mazing. Not everyone of those fits in my everyday Playlist tho. Also I can't deny that those more "tame" songs hit right in the Feelings and are lyrical wise among the best on the Release.

This song is so amazing. The build up and swell then ebbing and flowing of the music/beat paired with the vocals and lyrics, then he goes into this staccato verse, it’s all just so good.
A lot of their music has this flow to it that reminds me of polyphias song structures.
I didnt enjoy the surface happy feels of this, but when looking at it deeper from the perspective of self critism in a mirror, its a tale of lying to yourself, biting your lip and pretending your something youre not. So now i appreciate it a whole new way.

When you think, you're listening to a happy easy Pop song, but it's Sleep Token. Its underrated but it shows those guys can do everything, but always with their special twist on it.
This song always makes me emotional because the first time I heard it, it felt so much like how I see my mom. It gives words to the unhealed child in me who wishes my mom would see me, be proud of me, smile at me and love me. I used to wish I could change who I was to get that from her.
I have waited so long for you guys to listen to this one. It is probably the one song where Vessel stays in one lane (pretty much).

the line do you wish that you loved me seems more like satire to me. as if asking someone while telling them all about his damage. i can see this as like an argument, his crying, asking do you wish that YOU loved me? with all my flaws and self hate?
9:48 I think it happens more often than people think. A lot of relationships are formed around initial physical attraction, convenience, immense loneliness, shared suffering etc. People get into relationships for a myriad of reasons and sadly all to often none of those reasons are actual love. I know I’ve fell into relationships where circumstances forced me into close proximity with a person for a long time and a relationship just happens to form when spending that much time with a person, and while some care and affection might exist, neither of us where actually in love, and I’ve found my myself asking the same question, but even more often asking myself that question. Do I wish that I loved someone enough to stay with them, and that is a very hard question to answer.

This song came out the day my ex and I broke up. Thought it was gonna be uplifting and then bawled the entire time 😂 should've known better. Then I saw it was written from the perspective of Vessel speaking to himself in the mirror and it breaks me every listen.

Being at The Masonic Temple in Detroit (largest masonic temple in the world!) in September 2023, with around 6,000 people all singing the same songs was like nothing I've ever experienced before, I'll never forget it and I'm STILL feeling it now. You guys gotta make it to a show together! Worship!

If you guys are going to go through all of sleep tokens songs leave euclid last it has connection to old songs. It will have a lot more meaning if you leave it for the last song
One of the things about Sleep Token's lyrics is that they can be very direct ("Are You Really Okay") but others can have multiple interpretations. This is one of those songs. When I first heard it, I thought he was singing about unrequited love; this person he's singing to isn't returning the love he has for them. And sure that works and fits the larger narrative and story arc of the last three albums. But then one time, I'm listening to this and I realize it works equally as well as a song about him looking in a mirror ("...and my reflection just won't smile back at me like I know it should...") and singing about a loss of love for himself.
The next best thing after listening to sleep token is watching these guy listen to sleeo token! Keep it up! ❤
I don’t know what is next on your guys’ list for take me back to Eden reactions, all I know is Euclid NEEDS to be last. That song really ties the entirety of the album together, and I think you guys would really appreciate it. I might even request listening to their song “The Night Does Not Belong to God” off of their first album before you listen to Euclid. Sleep tokens music is just such a powerful journey

So, speaking on the divide between the music and lyrics:
Sleep token does something very well. Every single song on this album has a feeling of ethereal yearning to it. Sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's angry, sometimes it's reflective, sometimes it's horny. But every song just exudes that otherworldly yearning that has been a fascination of mine since I was little.
This is definitely one of the most underrated songs in this album

Before you guys listen to Euclid.. you HAVE to listen to The Night Does Not Belong To God, the first song on their first album of the trilogy Sundowning. It takes it to a whole new level

If you guys love this song... distraction, descending, and fall for me, are definitely sleep tokens strongest sounding "pop" songs, while i do love this songs premise, DYWTYLM is probally my least favourite- due to the fact these songs i mentioned are just amazing. But then again this is a great casual listen song :)

DYWTYLM was the first song i heard from sleep token, after they had released TMBTE and made got me hooked on them and down the rabbit hole i went 😅 love the song but Rain and Euclid is my favourites from the album BUT i love the whole album and always listen to it from start to finish.
Lore from Sleep Token nerd: Vessel is stuck in self loathing. He reflects on the pain he has caused himself, and “do you wish that you loved me” is written so it can be a love song, but it’s actually about how he can’t love himself. He asks himself if he did this, and if he can get out (“do you pull at the chains”). He knows it’s getting “harder to be (him)self”. (not my info)
