I have been a chef for 40 years and what you are doing is real no bullshit feel like I am back in a real kitchen when I watch you rather than the slick cooking videos, keep it real Chef well done
I miss this guy .. used to watch his videos and read the comments , waiting for the new Recipes ... Rest in Peace Jack. you made a lot of People happy with your Video Recipes , and that wont be forgotten ..
Some people think that giving up your recipes will hurt your business. I think it will only help- since I love the way you cook and WILL make the trip to CT to try your delicous food. I would not have known about this place and how good it is if you didn't show me your skills. Great job. THank you Joe D.
Nah, because the everyone that watches this is NOT motivated enough to actually do this at home, or even in a restaurant. I have my own version, but your's is good. I would be happy to eat that in a restaurant. I love watching a pro at work. (a big restriction is that most home chefs don't have that stove. I have one that is close, but there is no substitution for the power of your restaurant stove).
When I was stationed in schweinfurt Germany, I had lunch at a restaurant called XXL sports cafe. I ordered the pork snitzel and it was topped off with a pork gravy with big chunks of bacon in the gravy. So good.
I lived in the barracks as well. But I will say this, I miss Germany a lot even the food. Oh hey you remember Paul's restaurant, the bomb steaks and burgers. They closed down in 2014. The barracks that is.
It takes a confident Chef to cook over what looks like a Saturn 5 booster at lift off. But, that schnitzel looks awesome. I would get face down on that pork in a heartbeat. Thank you for the recipe and God Bless, sir.
It's like cooking on Vulcan's Forge! Or watching the town smithy pounding out a nice piece of metalwork. There ain't nothin' like watchin' Daddy Jack doin' his thing! Beautiful!
you are one positive force on the internet! Most people can cook from recipes.... but you cook from combinations of flavors! Well done and Thanks for the pork schnitzel I'll be making tonight for supper! :)
A man who can cook. I love your style of relaxed confidence. You appear so happy in your environment. It is nice to see someone cook with such confidence and a love for cooking as you have. I'm am certain everything you put out is delicious. Thanks for the show.
I might have to try this version....I do the same with the flour, egg, then bread crumbs...but I put 3x the oil in than he does, and continually shake it...it makes the crust puff up...I serve it with a lemon wedge and throw parsley in the oil, then place it on top....and serve it with lingonberry jam....RIP, daddy jack...I love your recipes...

My Nan who was from Switzerland used to cook this for us, she would serve it up with spaghetti in a thick tomato sauce made with flour, and also serve with peas and fried mushrooms. It was very nice :)

This video motivated me to make some schnitzels for my family tonight. It was awesome. Digging the video's, keep it up! Will visit the restaurant if I travel out that way.
Jack, a question if you please... Do you think food taste different (more like a restaurant) prepared in those skillets and pans you use everyday in your restaurant vs say cooking this exact recipe at home!?? I love restaurant food but I can never quite get what I make at home to taste like restaurant food. Even using the exact recipe. Thoughts!?!?
Now that's cooking I stayed in a German B&B where the owner was a butcher and one hell of a chef. His schnitzel and his steaks were unbelievable. He used to make an amazing mushroom and peppercorn sauce. Damn.
Killer is true, putting that knife back in the water, which you KNOW they will reuse, is going to make people sick. Guarantee people get sick after eating there, but it happens late at night or next day so they don't make the connection. Send Ramsay in that kitchen and watch what happens
@@roberthill4652 are you blind? If you have ever worked in a professional kitchen you should know you NEVER do that. He is contaminating every utensil in that bin, which if you notice, is full of water which most likely indicates he is going to use it again and call it clean. So, prop him up if you want, but his practice is filthy. So imo his cooking is filthy, which makes it unfit to eat.
A little bit of Parmesan in the breading mix for the Schnitzel isn’t traditional for the Vienna-style Schnitzel (Wiener Schnitzel), but some people do it for the Milanese-style Schnitzel (scaloppina alla milanese). In any case, if that’s what you like …! 😀

I love this mans humor and insight to cooking. So simple, jacks recipes work. You are miss kind sir.
In Austria they would call that burnt but oh well, still looks tasty
