It's 2022 and I am still blown away by his talent and that beautiful smile of his! Never got to see him perform live but I've watched a lot of his videos. Thank you for sharing this wonderful mans' talent! Love & much respect!🎸❤🎹
Mick Ronson sadly was a very underrated but extremely talented musician ..make that an all around musician...Glad I got to see him as a Spider...And my dearly departed friend Dennis Ferrante at the board....
The Just Like This Album is Ronsons best solo work .stripped down arrangements highlight killer guitar .The band is very good particularly drummer Bobby Chen whose vocals work well with Ronsons. This is a must have for Ronson fans
Thanks to Mark Chen, Roberts younger brother who got Robert to the audition Mick was having for a new drummer. Incredible story about how it all transpired!
This is simply amazing. Very nice indeed to view the photos. I was always was a huge Ronno fan and had the luck to meet him a couple of times. First in 1974 and then in 1989 and 1991. A great guy and I am thinking of him a lot as the his guitar sound and playing was and still is unique.
My favorite Bowie albums are without a doubt the ones with Ronson. Including Diamond Dogs which still had the Ronson influence...I heard Bowie worked up a lot of those songs while Ronson was still with him(even though he didn't record the final album with Ronson)
Its a little wild that Shayne Contains has showed up in my musical life so many different ways! With Ronno, with Lobe Justice, with Springsteen... Riff down and to the left my man!🤘😎🤘
All the tracks you hear are originaly from the cd JUST LIKE THIS. The HARD LIFE cd is a compilation disk. The JUST LIKE THIS cd has a lot more on it plus a great booklet. Its also out of print BUT realy worth having!
This is great on so many levels. Captures TM in Bearsville studio B in the transition from MM-1000 to MM-1200. At the 1:58 point you can see the original Quad-8 desk with the API EQs; before it was seriously reworked. ... I miss Mick!
This was when Mick came home from the Dylan gig had a new manager decided to try something different. Mick did heavy turing with Ian solo projects later.
You're right,I was "slightly"flippant there. It's a coincidence that I'm also reading the Uncut feature you're talking about.(Gram Parsons on the front (nice feature). Just can't help feeling, this man never found his feet after those soaring Bowie days.Dave would've done better to visit his old pal,to give him a well needed kick up the backside when he began to employ overpayed string technicians around '85 to this day.
You must be joking. This man is a legend. What have YOU ever done? Without Ronson, Bowie literally would have gone nowhere. Try reading the article on Ronson in the new Uncut Magazine, February 2013. Try speaking with Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Ian Hunter, T Bone Burnett. Oh, perhaps they have no interest in speaking with you . . .
Mick Ronson was one of the finest, most talented musicians to grace this Earth. RIP Mick, we miss you!

Great pics thanx for posting
Wow! Thanks for this
At the 1m56s point there is a great photo of the original Quad8 desk before the Ted Rothstein mods and the Burroughs meter bridge was added. Nice!
These pics would make a great artwork for Just Like This album...
