I feel this way about many Disney songs! I love the song "He Lives In You" from the lion king in Greek and it is SOOO much better!
Umm it's actually in Maori, moana takes place in the Pacific Islands
But she goes far across the sea with "Maui" to find the island of tefiti thats full of fire. @@starwolfxx2588

I would love to hear more of Lion Kings songs... especially Circle of Life... in a mix of Native African languages as a celebration of the grasslands of Africa.
Imagine if there were like 10 tribes that took a couple lines a piece and created the entire song of Circle of Life in an African medley of languages.
It would make me tear up for native Africans to be celebrated properly by Disney.
Also, how about a soundtrack of native African songs and sounds with a 5 or 10 minute new video created over it.
Disney made millions of of African Culture... its time to celebrate the real culture and give maybe half of the profits to African natives to be able to have small businesses to feed themselves and innovate.

Yes. Dwayne Johnson announced a live-action Moana on April 2023. Is set to release June 2025.

At least other live action movies from Disney actually waited 10+ years for the nostalgia. This one at the 7 year mark Mickey just said, screw it we are not waiting for that “nostalgia” felling, the money is right there for the taking.

It’s pretty funny bc I’m literally in my homeland Samoa(I live in oz) and staying at the exact hotel where they are filming this. You can tell this was filmed in Samoa. But they really combined the Polynesian cultures together, with Samoan setting and background villagers, Tongan clothing for some women, playing the Māori version of the song, as well as cook islanders dancing when Moana was walking through the centre. They really included most islands lol.
