I’m pulling up from your kazuya guide badass vid decided to pick up jin and your channel got me hooked up with the sauce already keep making these vids they’re easy to understand.
as a jin main, unless you want more range or use heat, i would recommend to sticking to 2,4 as your non-launcher punish because it puts you right into a zen/wavedash mixup

Tekken newbie here. Tried to main Kazuya, but I don’t have the fortitude to break through the execution firewall, assuming I even have the physical potential to, so I’m switching to Jin. I need to swallow my pride and start with an easier character so videos like this one are a huge blessing to me.

@TekkenEnjoyerM8 you'll notice often when you press two buttons only one attack comes out. This is the same principle. With this string, if you press the right button and ignore the other ones

I've been using jin for days now and I just reached mighty ruler, I just notice with jin's electric why is it there's -10 on block which is unsafe to use and there's +5 on block which is safe to use, I don't get it is it depends on the perfect input? it's like normal electric and super electric?

no its how it is, its forward, neutral downforward2
I've heard of people who play on controller bind 2 to a shoulder button so that they can just squeeze a finger at the same time as you hit the down/forward.
For me on fight stick, it helps to start hitting the button as soon as I'm about to pull the lever down
Heres a tip that works for me. Loosen up those fingers and relax yo wrist. Tap foward. Just tap. That means let go of the forward button. When you see jin take that step, then slide your finger across from ⬇️ to ↘️ and he'll wave dash. Practice doing smooth wave dashes. You only need one to slide over and connect the hit. And its FaSt. Practice allot but also take breaks. You're not focused you get fucked. You will get used to it.
How good is Jin overall in this game at this point? is he better than devil Jin or weaker or perhaps equal? 🤔
Depends on the player, the better you are the better jin becomes. He's not like other characters that carry the player like eddy. He's a all-around honest character. You actually need to learn jin unlike devil jin you just need to learn his autos. I also feel like devil jin is more punishable than jin would be
Hello I can’t launch after the “forward 4” counter hit. I try to dash and then press back 3 like u but it doesn’t work. It always misses because it’s too far away. Did they remove launching from counter hit with “forward 4”
No, they didn't remove it. It can be hard to get it initially, so try harder)

9:30 hold up now… this actually works?? Does it have to be a counter hit? Does the first two punches have to wiff for it to work?
If the second hit is a counter hit, the launch is guaranteed. Usually, it's easiest to bait out a whiff punish by intentionally whiffing the first hit, then clipping them with the second hit, still tricky though.
@@ryanhass8716 I was in training earlier and was able to loop this three times and get to the wall for a wall finisher, or if if the wall was destructible continue for a few more hits. Didn’t have to get the counter hit or wiff anything. Got between 90-100 damage when I didn’t drop it.

He has d2 since f4 is no longer guaranteed at +8 which kills his offense

There is absolutely no comparison between the two attacks..
Even Steve's B1 can't compete with Jin's F4 as it's been heavily nerfed now
