Seriously the greatest map ever made. Nothing come comes close to the surf, the progression of difficulty, or the aesthetics. I'd make a vid but it's too long, played through it like all of today though, really fuckin fun. The ending sequence after you beat it is amazing as well, didn't think hammer sdk was capable of that.

1: The qualiy of the video is far better than most crappy videos on YT 2: Releasing a video of the 'fucking' beta will at least keep the people their attention on this map instead of keeping it unknown all the time until release. 3: As a matter of fact, you seem to be the only pissed one around here
Someone needs to make a first-person platformer with a learning curve that welcomes newcomers but actually rewards player skill with being able to move at breakneck speeds and progress flawlessly through courses like this. I would kill to have first-person platforming become an e-sport sometime in the distant future.

ill answer you substitutionally for the lt team =p, the main concept was to make a map which is increasing in difficulty starting from the allknown tier 1 until a rockin hard tier 6 :) (each mapper made 1 stage for one tier), what you dont see in the video is that you can actually keep your speed from a former level which leads to fun shortcuts and make the easier levels fun and sometimes challenging to surf, depends on what shortcuts you use :), yep it is doubtless very long :D
This map is one of the most glossy and colorful ones that I've ever seen. It's so pretty, like REALLY pretty. Cared more about the design choice of putting colors here and there rather than the jumps(which were stunning as well). fuggen 10/10 thumbs up 5 stars
I guess the ramps are made with "propper" so they don't count towards the percentages, and once you remove the ramps, you can make a LOT of stuff within the boundaries of the source engine. It's not even that detailed so it shouldn't be a problem.
150, be sure to use a 66tic server though. KSF server is a good server, it has a far developed timer, so you can beat your own and other records: 199.241.184.90:27015
I feel like I'm seeing the same concepts being used over and over throughout the stages. I'm not going to say anything about the textures because, well, surf_map.

This was a fantastic video.
The skybox is a model repeated over and over, with a black fog to help FPS and give it an endless feeling.
