- Samsung Galaxy Ring is packed with features despite its compact size. Now, Samsung confirms its July release for the Galaxy Ring and a recent report reveals eight sizing options for the Galaxy Ring addressing diverse finger sizes. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Ring alongside the new foldable smartphones at the Unpacked event.
Samsung needs to price this appropriately. And not be like Apple with ridiculous prices

You could see it from another side as similar to what Apple does, by using the 'Reassuringly Expensive' pricing strategy. People want the best and quite often see a lower price as lower quality even though its not true. So despite being annoying, I think its important that Samsung price their products similarly to Apple or customers won't know the difference between a Samsung and a Huawei.
I think being able to charge ridiculous prices like Apple is the dream of every tech and most fashion companies 😂
@@X_BILSONXiaomi sell alot of watches.....they're affordalbe and do most things. Besides Apple watches work only with iPhones. Meanwhile Android phones have variety although I do tend to get Samsung devices to stay within the ecosystem like the Buds 2Pro I just bought which are also getting an update to work with some of the AI features.
This would be awesome doing powerpoint presentation and doing a wave/swipe gesture to go to the next slide 😁

A smart ring that I've been using has a touch sensitive portion of the ring that you can swipe with your finger to control power point presentations. It can be configured through the app to perform other functions like instructing your phone to take a photo when it is tapped. It connects via bluetooth and best I can tell it mimics a bluetooth mouse or keyboard depending on the functionality you set it up for. I'm guessing this Samsung ring will work similarly, since waiving your hand would be a bit too cumbersome.
There is a button on the phone stylus.

One of the biggest hurdles with the payment devices isn't that they're not practical, they are - but the banking systems today makes then kinda useless.
At least in our country you need to physically insert your smartcard (credit card) each 10 payment use cycle of whatever device you use, whether it's your Smartphones RFID or Smartwatch, possibly also smart-ring.
Until the day arrives when this hurdle is removed, it's just another nice to have tech gadget demo.
Can it vibrate on an alarm set with the paired phone? Also, for countdown or hourly? If yes, ill probably buy it. If not, surely no.

I want that ring! I hate charging my watch everyday. And it makes payments wow! And yes I heard about the AI features.....I can live without the AOD thing they have going on... must be one heck of a battery drainer. I prefer the one I have now BUT we will get the generative AI wallpaper feature which is what I really want.....and Circle to Search......

so, isn't that just like Xiaomi mi band 1? XD Literally same functionality but packaged into a ring... I don't really know what's the difference between this and smartwaches. Ofc it would be really cool for ppl like me who likes to wear some classic type of watches but not to lose smart features of wearable tech (like fitness tracking and NFC payments). But overall I don't think it's something new beside smartwatches.

Why would anyone want to be tracked 24/7? Phones are bad enough, but now it gets even more weird and why would you want this?? I hate my phone and leave it at home as often as possible and I wouldnt even have a mobile if I didnt have kids, cant stand the thing and this is gross!

I love how Asia has a smart and unharmfull solution to track each person daily. Smart ideas but again marked trap and mindset ignoring. More buyers more power 😊 But after all definitely very good competive product.

I understand wanting a smart ring but “packed with features” is laughable, maybe I’m missing something, why is this better than a smart watch?
Keen to use this for tap payments and taking public transport, which at the moment I do by pulling out my phone. I know it's a minor thing, but when you're in the daily bustling city, tapping with your hand would be easier.
Never buy a Samsung product, warranty is a joke. Your finger will rot off like their earphones that cause your ears to bleed.
So basically everything a watch does?
The only thing that i can find really useful out of this is being able to just point to various tech to get it to activate. Like smart bulbs to turn them on or maybe a turninf motion to adjust your thermostat from a distance. If youre a teacher and using a smart board or a projector you coudl use the ring to point, highlight, and draw.
But for the average person i dont see how this ring is super useful.
Wow a ring now after the smart phone.. is there going to be smart earings and necklace, what about bracelets... Bring laziness to the next level...I won't be surprised if there's going to be a smart belt, shoes, or even a suite...

I think I'll trade in my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, if possible, so I can still have all the tracking features. I really want a normal analog watch because they look so classy but I just love the features of the Galaxy Watch.
