Ive been playing about a week and WOW has it been a blast. As a old school everquest player I came back time and time again to Live servers. After a bit just got tired of the multi boxing was very frustrating. Now I can run 3 toons ate once with no screen switching. And omg is it a blast!! I started off with bst/mage/nec because I have always been a pet class player. With out even looking anything up just from my little knowledge of my time with EQ. Just a blast love the unlocking expansions and what ever else I figure out about this server!! Also love your content I ran into your beginners guide how I found out about this server keep it up!
Nice dude, glad you came to play. The server has been a godsend to the EQ community and has really brought fun back to a game we all have loved for so many years.
I have always loved Everquest and I am interested in this server especially the fact that I can play three classes which will help plug the holes of what one class lacks. However for me the spawn rate of stuff has always been the most frustrating thing about Everquest. I recently tried the VegasEQ server but after trying to kill the mangy rat at Sneed's inn and spending over an hour and still not seeing anything but the sewer rat I finally recalled why I left Everquest in the first place. I am not saying I am not going to give this server a try but I need to psych myself up and learn to just accept that things are slow.
Is there a page where it displays what EOM can purchase? Does it matter in what order a player selects their trio of classes? Also, did I read/hear somewhere that each class gets a pet? If so is there a page that shows what kind of pet if they're different. Sorry for the "noob" questions. I quickly looked for the answers but couldn't find them but will look again. Also, thanks for the videos.
@@chadwickmccarty4944 no way bro, there is no such thing as a noob question! That's what we are here for! Each race gets a different type of pet for beastlord! There is a wiki that shows all of them. First race only matters for faction. The order you pick classes does not matter. :)
Great video! I don't understand the mechanic of for a few eom you can unlock the ability to teleport directly to "any open dynamic zone" I have spent the eom to unlock this feature - but how do I access it? Do I have to speak to use an npc? Is it through Tearel or some other? Thanks!
You click on the chat option that you used to spend the EOM and instead of asking you to spend the EOM, it will attune the map and you can just click on that.
@@brokenstoic101 Thank you. After I went to the discord I was able to login a day ago. I've spent 7 hours trying to pick a combination so I can start lol
@@corybanticfire Ohhh yes, there are npc throughout the building in the bazaar that say "Kunark Flag" "Velious Flag" you can hail them and they will tell you what you need and tell you what you have already done to flag.
Release schedule is way to fast. Most of us are over 40 with careers. With all the character combinations what is the hurry to release expansions? They could have easily milked each one for months by themselves. PoP opening 3 months from the time the server started is crazy. Who is interested in speed EQ?
To each their own, approximately 8k people have been interested in this server and they have even eclipsed p99 and quarm in max players online at one time. *shrug* its ok to not care for that style of play but telling other people its not ok for them to enjoy it seems kinda goofy.
Server progression is definitely annoying. I leveled up a Paladin/Druid/Chanter and struggled thru late 40s because there is no good xp area's in classic above 45. Finally reached 50 and couldn't get to Vox or Naggy. I grinded some AA's, but AAXP is slow in classic zones. Finally just bought some of the quest drops and got lucky on others to get my Kunark flag. Now in Kunark working to 60, but struggling a bit even here. AAXP is again very slow in Sebilis and Chardok. No one groups and maybe my build sucks. I don't know. I definitely struggle with the large number of mobs in each pull. I can burn thru AA's I currently have, but it's frustrating seeing AAXP grind so slow. Eventually I will grind to 60 and get enough AA to kill Vox and Naggy, but not looking forward to killing those dragons in Kunark for Velious flag. Progression is not fun on this server. I do love the multi classing though! This server is still awesome. Not trashing it. Just frustrated with progression.
@@paladine6 let me help ya. So as a paladin, you have the slay undead AA? If so.. the hole is really strong, down near the undead zone line, if you have kunark unlocked you have dual harbor and crypt of nadox. Both really strong, undead for slaying, plane of hate is an amazing place to level as well and has a lot of undead there as well. People do post in /ooc for groups. You could also join a guild or even our guild and find folks constantly exping! Not sure what we can do to improve gameplay but almost every paladin in your range can pull 90aa an hour. It's kinda busted.
@@brokenstoic101 Hmm that's some great ideas I hadn't considered. I do have slay undead AA. Not sure I believe the 90AA per hour thing, but definitely some helpful advice. I'll try those zones out.
@ It all depends. I mean the joy of THJ is you can kind of play at your own pace, if you want to push against the hardest current content and farm that, you can, if you want to take your time and enjoy the experience you can, I know I personally can get about 200+ aa an hour now, its just boring as all heck for me personally.
Hopefully this well help as a central location to find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions on The Heroes Journey Server!

so non-respawning for raid targets and respawning for xp or names/rares? anything else
Some quest NPC only show up in NON-RESPAWNING as well, typically the ones that spawn some kind of raid or are a raid target themselves.
I'm starting today. Where do I find the information of how to unlock? Is there a wiki or something?
